This movie was honestly one of my favorite thrillers/horrors of all time. but I'm so confused at how it has such low ratings.
I am confused how it has such good ratings. The script is so dumb and predictable and full of plot holes. The whole ISS and all docked spaceships share one single radio among all of them?! And the one radio needs to be water cooled? I mean come on!
bcz lots of nonsense action on how things done, like when the air vent turned on, they couldn't get it off quickly, i mean how smart they are to be in a spacestation and couldn't do an efficient work

As a big fan of sci-fi movies, i think this movie is mediocre. There are many better ones, for example The Sphere or Mission To Mars, which are similar to Life but a lot better. There's something about modern movie production that sucks. If Life was made in the 90's or early 2000's it would've been million times better.
Watched this last night, i thought it was a straight to video movie or whatever the equivalent is today, but was i wrong
this movie pulled me in and i ended up watching it all and even shouting at the screen a few times.

Really? I just watched it and thought it was extremely unoriginal and not particularly well made. It wasn't horrible, but it didn't seem like an attempt to actually do anything other than cash in on a well used formula.. also just speaking for me, personally, I really wish space movies would make an effort to actually be semi-realistic.. like even in the opening scene they catch the capsule traveling at a ridiculous speed.. and I'll suspend my (enormous) disbelief that it didn't take the robotic arm off.. but at the very least it would have imparted a significant torque onto the station and put it into a spin
Cast looks great, but this is literally every famous space/horror thriller we've seen smashed into one film. Not an ounce of originality from what I can see.

I love space movies and I thought the same thing. I guess it's kind of hard to find something original in this context though.. If it's a space horror/suspense type movie, what else can they do but find some alien sort of life.

Agreed, like hey let's make the most paint by numbers thing ever!
1. Some alien cells are found on the probe they caught in a super dangerous move NASA would never do.
2. They grow the cells...oh man they grow so fast. Scene from trailer, Man's arm gets attacked. jake gyllenhaal goes in to save him but he is too late...man dies and micro-alien thing is missing.
3. Gyllenhaal starts to act weird...could he be infected!
4. Alien in the wall attacks someone and they fight it off with fire glove thing? (also makes zero sense in space) but they are injured.
5. Gyllenhaal attacks someone, Ryan Reynolds runs away (see scene in trailer)
6. Gyllenhaal starts destroying the station to force them to go back to earth and contaminate the planet.
7. Reynolds dies stopping Gyllenhaal in epic space stuff exploding
8. Rebecca Furguson has a final fce off with now big alien creature! OMG it's smart and this was all part of it's plan...(How? won't make any sense)
9. Furguson kill it and escapes back to earth....it's all over.
10. Zoom in on capsule and watch small alien crawl/float/move out of the lander.
11. DUHHHHHHHHHHH
Turn to your friend and say, "well at least the acting was good"
and "the Thing". And Gravity. And Prometheus (stupidest scientist of the world, who try to play with alien life form with bare hands:D seen this already!)

are you saying where aliens aren't the enemy or aren't SEEN as the enemy by humans. because there are plenty of movies that have friendly aliens but they're hunted down, abused, or killed by us humans due to our ignorance.
Why do writers/directors always make otherwise intelligent science-types predictably violate quarantine procedures that invariably go horribly wrong, ruining the mission itself? It really is annoyingly routine now and demonstrates a critical lack of creativity on their part. Using human curiosity as an undeniable force that compels "scientists" to ignore a basic law of research and exploration is such a distraction that it ruins the basic premise of a movie. Really, this started with Howard Hawks' "The Thing" in 1951. Flash forward to "Alien" where Ash (the robot science officer) does the deed that ends up dooming the crew - and continues with his progeny doing the same thing in "Prometheus", and this trope has gotten very old. When a writer/director pisses off his intelligent viewers and demonstrates a low IQ in his characters, it results in a bad taste in our mouths, bad reviews and unprofitable movies that depend on dramatic scores, sound effects, star-power instead of plot.

I don't expect much before I watch this movie but then I left the theater feeling satisfied!! it's like I'm holding my breath the entire 120 mins of movie playtime.. It's crazy good!! 2 thumbs up!!

The black guy job is to take care of it
And when he was touching the cell , suddenly it touched his hand and tried to pull him hard then he escaped from the lap
The others came and helped him he didn't die
But when the others helped him the lap door closed so the cell was with them so they tried to kill it and they couldn't
So the cell came into a boy mouth and kill him😢
Then the cell grew up and all of them tried to kill it when it grew up it was like snake with face ear,everything
Then all of them died just 2 survivors left

This movie is much better than the trailer shows. I thought after seeing this trailer, that it would be a boring space film, so i was prepared to take a nap, but no. This is a great movie. Have so many awesome alien vibes to it. I liked this more than Prometheus 2 for sure.

Just to be clear, location doesn't make something original. Passengers doesn't look original. Two people together. At first they're at odds, but they become close over a shared experience. TWIST. One of them is holding something back that will challenge their feelings for one another. It will be original if they both die.

The Martian was really, really good. Interstellar was too self-aware. If they are set in space they better be realistic, and poking this alien thing with your finger is so dumb it would never happen, couldnt they think of a more realistic scenario to let it infect the first guy?

the movie scared the sh!t out of me, no joke I didn't sleep for a *month* and I was too scared to go near my cover. (i was like 10 and I had anxiety so ya know pretty fncking scared)
