Good review with the upgraded/fixed radio. The same name is very confusing, though. I'm glad they finally fixed it and provided more power with USB charging, all very good features to have. Thank you.👍🇦🇺⁷³

Recently, they have changed the name of 8W version. It's called Talkpod A36Plus MAX.

Has anyone else noticed a really bad battery life on the 8w version. I realize it has a much better display than the Baofeng UV-5R & UV-82HP, but I keep the back light timer at a minimum and have even tried the deep battery save mode. With little to no TX and very small amounts of RX, the battery drops too quickly. I turned it on the other day and it read 7.8v. Two days later with no use at all it reads 7.2v. My Baofengs under the same conditions last a ridiculously long time. Any ideas?
Fixed one and sent to you for review or fixed them for everybody? Everything on Amazon looks exactly the same. I don't see an upgraded model which they would surely do if it was fixed. Maybe I missed it, Ill keeping looking. Still a good video thanks.
Hello, they have sent me another radio wich is fixed. I don't know if the old model is still available on the market. The only way to tell the difference on the physical device is to look for a sticker under the battery , it should read "Power :
Usually when there is a new one it will say " Updated" in the description, if I buy one will look for the sticker under the battery. Thanks

I have 8W and 5W. 8W's Keypad is all white and 5W is White & blue. Also, 5W only provides 1500mAh Battery and 8W provides 3200mAh battery
