Mami this is the Sambhar we are doing in our house
We are from nagercoil kk district
There in the house as well as in kalyanaveedu they prepare kadamba Sambhar only using vegetables brinjal potato Sambhar onion murunkakai kothavarangai velarikkai instead of white poosani and vendakai

Vegetables ellam konjam konjam irukum bodhu enga veetla naan epomae ninaipen endha ella vegetables pootu oru sambar elana bisbella bath pannidalamnu but enga amma adhuku ok sollavae maatangaa. But enoda romba naal aasaiya endha kadamba sambar recipe moolam niraveethiteenga ma.

Super yoga Amma. Traditional ha solli tharinga ela items um. Kadambam nu soldradhuku meaning ipodhan enaku puriudhu amma. Super vegetable combination. Great mixing powder.

Ah nice. But amma try with adding 3 hands full methi leaves n toss tht too on veg its super yummy. I prefer non spicy less imli n coconut but its very tasty. For idli, rice, dahi rice, rotis. Bcos u add thick smashed dal. N its all in one i make once in 10d atleast. I will try this podi. Remembering ..My amma used to make for durga prasadam sambar rice. Cheers.
For kadambam,if poppy seeds,dalchini ,marathi moggu are added it gives a different aroma.Our kadambam in Karnataka is made with these ,instead of coconut we add dry coconut(cobra)

This is the first time that I am commenting so late.... for 2 reasons..... firstly...my son's exams started... hence the delay..& secondly .... I got the perfect receipe today morning when the notification came.... I was little confused as to what to prepare for lunch for my son..... your receipe reminded me that this is exactly what I was looking for..... I wanted to comment after preparing & tasting it..... I always ensure that I give a worthy comment ...... now that everything s done.... I just thought of posting my comments.....
Even though I didn't have stock of all veggies..... I managed with whatever was available....it came out delicious..... Amma....
This is usually the one my mom makes & hence very familiar to me..... its almost like kanu kootu receipe..... except for certain seasonal veggies......
One spice that we won't add is jeeragam.... instead we'll add varutha ellu..... this tasted different & great 😋
I made spicy potato fry as my kids.... especially my son loves this combo....
