The ending that didn't really made sense to me because this character is just a huge brat: Frost

I like how Sub-Zero rewound time and could almost instantly undo the horrors of his past whereas Scorpion tried the same and then found he has to fight even more beings to even have a chance at doing so. Scorps can't catch a break.

I mean, scorpion tried to, then gave up and just became kratos, so in the end, he abandoned the power too.
Not everyone was hungry for power, some of them just wanted the timeline to end up better than what they got, some even restored entire civilization and worlds in certain instances which saved countless lives.
Johnny didnt do it for power hunger. The man changed nothing except sonyas life

So he was actually alive and able to see where his life was. While with Jacqui, she quite literally prevented herself from being born, so she wasnt around to see the results and change them like Jax
@@bluerobo2 I call BS on that. Ya ending slavery wouldn't have killed him but it would have definitely prevented his birth or altered it in some way. If there was no slavery than his ancestors would have still lived in Africa. That probably would have changed who his great grandparents hooked up with and he would've became a completely different person if he was born at all. Also he probably wouldn't of joined the American special forces to be a soldier since he'd probably still be in Africa. No America, no special forces unit, no friendship with Sonya, no entrance into Mortal Kombat. Everything changes or it should have. That's why it makes no sense. If he would have disappeared to make an equal better world than that would have been a better ending. Especially when his epic sacrifice would have been for nothing to just have Outworld make slaves out of everyone.

The thing he affected wouldn't really change anything that much besides the superiority complex white people had over black people, so the world would still have out world and other threats that would have brought his parents together in some way, he would have still wanted to fight to save their realm since that's just how Jax is, and etc.
But on the other hand, Jackie literally changed her father getting injured, which made it so that he never met her mom, never went into retirement, and just kept fighting since being a revenant was the only part in his career where he genuinely suffered enough to need treatment and leave the force.

Jacqui’s ending actually made me sad. I feel like hers was the most painful. She and Jax have such a loving relationship, it’s crazy. I can’t believe she couldn’t have a happy ending with her dad, and bringing her mom back, and help her dad’s mental health. Cassie, Sonya, and Johnny all had family based endings that were happy. Heck, even Jax had a good story. He would be utterly devastated by his daughter’s choice.
Jacqui's story was made on really good writing perspective, whereas Jax's ending comes off just entirely bland.
She turns her thoughts to the man who inspired her every choice. Jax's life is something she wished she could've done so much more for.
True, she didn't take on the mantle of Kronika. She didn't delve deep enough to make lasting impact on her use of the sands. But at the same rate; it's touching in such a way. The daughter Jax would never know gave everything so he would be the pivotal hero. She could rest happily knowing her father saved countless lives.

I absolutely love Kabal’s ending. He just wanted to retire and be set. And he got his wish. No godlihood, no royalty. Just a simple retirement.

I hate that no matter how cool of a Character Frost is, her motivations and personality have always been whinny and pompous, its a massive waste of a character :(
Yah I don't understand why they slander frost so much. Like it's not even funny it's downright sad.
I feel they don't want to even try.
I mean blame the writers, not the character. They could've make her dynamic/relation with Sub be like the one Takeda and Scorpion shared on the comics but instead, they keep making her look like a spoiled brat. As a Frost fan, I think she deserves a redemption arc. Especially considering how difficult is for NRS to make villains look respectable.

Jax, Johnny, Sonya, Cassie, they all figure out ways to undo a death or undo several thousand deaths, but Jacqui can't seem to find a way to have Jax live and for her to have been born as well. I like to picture Jax as a computer programmer trying to get the history just right, and then getting extremely annoyed at the complex task of inserting himself and his family into his new world without creating a paradox

Erron Black has the greatest ending, just everyone else is wondering how I’ll make history for the better or how I will conquer everything, even the 2 or 3 other guys that also said to let time play out are thinking of complex solutions to find that problem, and Erron Black is like “nah man imma just toss this sucker into the ocean”
So essentially:
Shang Tsung: Is pretty much still scared by his own mortality
Shao Kahn: Still kills others to bolster his ego
Frost: Takes her petty need of recognition to the next level (seriously, did her parents never say I love you back?)
Nightwolf: Restores History and passes on his mantle to another. Though I am not sure that is all his own achievement but I'm impressed
Joker: Revels in Chaos as always, this time on a larger scale. Yeah, I guess nothing could change that.
Johnny: Actually does the responsible thing, on his own accord and not even for his own benefit. Holy shit has that character grown.
Sonya: Plays personal clean up Squad for all realms. Definitely has a "saving people" thing with a pinch of authority.
Cassie: She takes a lot after her dad, but in a good way.
Jax: Gets reduced to a race. Yeah well done Netherrealm. Seems like his history is better than the usual one so, so sure thing. You go Jax.
Spawn: Becomes Netherrealm's personal Doomslayer
Scorpion: Can't get over his past. Also, he can't get a break either. So now he is playing Kratos I guess. This is what happens if you basically get a shitty insect to delete years of character development in one sting.

Skarlet: Takes her fetishes a bit too far

Terminator: Stops a war, mass-extinction and sacrifices himself due to logic. Also, he had to recreate T2 cause references and all.
Geras: Automates the Hourglass and then just suicides. Yeah alright.
Kollector: The Orange Lantern Core wants a new member.
Sindel: Get's raped by Netherrealm studios... in the metaphorical sense I mean.
Cetrion: Make everyone's life so shitty they will be glad to have some peace afterwards. Well that's just cruel.
Goji I’m glad that I’m not the only one who dislikes Jax’s ending. Not too mention how many times he rebooted the timeline and how many people he erased from his constant restarts.

Erron`s ending is the best in my opinion
He was the wisest out of the characters for what he did. He allowed the realms and their peoples to shape their fates.
Kotal was wise as well.
@@danielmapp4522 Every ending where the characters don't use the power of the hourglass in any shape or form are wise. But their reasoning behind it are different, Erron is because he prefers to keep the future uncertain, it's more thrilling. Meanwhile Kotal believes that our choices are what makes us who we are and we should live by them regardless of where it leads. Geras figured that nobody should have that kind of power and made the artifact work by itself, ultimately making it automatic, only one timeline will come from it, whatever happens, happens.
If i was him, I would change time, where Arthur didn't get tb and he kills Micah and lives with John and his family in peace and freedom. Then again Arthur should change the time and make sure he doesn't get tb and kills Micah and lives with John and his family at peace and freedom.

I think most of the characters' endings are based on their personal desires.
But I must admit that I think the saddest ending goes to jacqui's ending. She's willingly erasing and sacrificing her existence to prevent his Dad jax briggs to be a revenant, so she wind back the time when sindel attacked the earthrealmers, and also kitana and jade. She made sindel defeated.
I think the best ending is erron's ending. You know, he sinks the hourglass into the sea of blood so the others cannot use it for their advantages.
And the heroic ending goes to T800's ending.

I like how Cassie Cage and Johnny Cage has the most restrained wishes. They don't want to set everything right or save everyone. Cassie would just like her mother back and to do her best to make her proud and Johnny learns to grow up a bit, live with the pain and learn from it to become better and also just save Sonya. Nothing massive or huge like Sonya who wants to rid the universe of cosmic evil gods or Jax who wants to change the whole world for the better.
