- In this video I visited Eastleigh station on the South Western Main Line. Services are seen here by South West Trains and Cross Country with some freight included too. Joining me here was TrainclipsHD, South West Trainspotting, Great Western Trains, THEGreatWesterner, Cornwall Trains Fan, 444 Productions and Railwaves so do check out their channels.
Eastleigh was a phenomenal station to film at. Everything about it was perfect. The sun was out so that was a nice start but as the day progressed the passing services were fab, the variety was decent and the freight was amazing. This is definitely up there with the top stations I've visited and it is highly recommended to anyone.
My next station is Salisbury and this will be uploaded on Saturday 18th February.
If you have liked what you have seen here at Eastleigh then please do like and subscribe and I will get back to any comments you make as and when I can. Any recommendations are welcomed so please do leave those in the comments. Take care everyone and I will see you all soon. 😊

If any of you experience freezing at the beginning of the video I do apologise. I have no idea how the app I use has managed to do that. 😠
KTV Videos It's ok :)
Toby Trainspotter no worries mate🙂
i had that prob too, Shame
excellent film mate very well done
Thanks mate. 😄
Thoroughly enjoyed watching Kieran, many congratulations on 1250 subscribers, Eastleigh can be very productive on a good day, like from me Kieran
+Thomas Norton Thanks Thomas. Thanks for the congratulations. Eastleigh was just fantastic. 😃
Great place for class 66 from the docks, and there is sometimes some interesting stuff in the sidings. Winchester is great if you want to get some freight trains at speed. I'm 3 stops down the branch, at Fareham. There's a gravel depot there, so a few 66s. I'm not sure if the gravel depot is still at Botley - the old Bishops Waltham branch was used for that.
BTW, keep up the good work.
Congratulations Kieran. Great filming again. 😉
+paul24111 Thanks Paul 😊

Toby Trainspotter Thanks Toby but I am there. I've passed 1,300 so I am well past 1,250. 😊
Oops! Sorry yes you are! Well done! By the way out of Southampton and Eastleigh, which one is better?
+Toby Trainspotter Eastleigh by a long shot mate. 😊
KTV Videos Ok thanks :)
Nice work Kieran, not a bad station, im looking forward to the Salisbury video.
+TrainspotterPhil HD Thanks Phil. Highly recommend Eastleigh and apologies for the slight freeze at the beginning of the video. Anyway Salisbury should be good. 😊
No problem! I had audio corruption and freezing in one of my videos I think was Hereford.
Very g........................................ood video here Kieran. Definitely worth visit.....................................................ing.
Congrats on getting this far mate :)
+TrainSpotEast Haha love what you did there 😂😂 Thanks Kevin. 😊
nice video
Year Round are CrossCountry Voyagers going between Bournemouth and Manchester and the daily Newcastle service whereas Summer sees Edinburgh-Bournemouth services. Edinburgh-Plymouth is Year-round.
+Syed Hoque Edinburgh to Bournemouth isn't a thing. There is an Edinburgh to Reading service but that again is year round.
love ur footage. me n my boyfriend love trainspotting and would love to do some trainspotting with u. can u come to reading?
+Sammii Greening Thanks. As I said before, I will be in Reading in April.
Great video 😀
+RRB RAIL Thank you Ryan Rude Bag. 😉
KTV Videos oh no 😂
I believe Plymouth-Edinburgh is 563 miles hence Aberdeen-Penzance is 770 miles, the Cornish Mainline is 80 miles and Edinburgh-Aberdeen is 127 miles given Kings Cross-Aberdeen is 520 miles. CrossCountry travel more than 563 miles over 8 1/2 hours between Plymouth and Edinburgh.
+Syed Hoque Indeed. They cover a lot of mileage with trains that aren't built to do that.
Great video! The announcements are still Celia Drummond with her harsh but distinctive intonations. Perhaps a new system has been installed for which she has recorded new speech segments for?
+NetworkSouthCentral Thank you! Maybe that is the case. 😃
Just using my other account. Great video, I got to see what I missed at the end. It was a great day out wasnt it mate :)
I think the announcements sound a bit more like ruth from wales and not celia. Its just eastleigh though I think
+Keir & Glen A-C Thanks Keir. Yeah it was brilliant. 😊
+Keir & Glen A-C Glad it's just Eastleigh then. 😊
Looks a great station
+SC Trains Indeed it is. 😃
KTV Videos if only it was closer to London
+SC Trains It isn't actually too far from London.
KTV Videos miles out I want to do some swml spotting when I go to London so looks like queenstown road it is then
+SC Trains Miles yes but distance in train journey is about 1 to 2 hours. Not too bad in all honesty.
Quick question where is North carrige sidings
Great video, Yesterday I filmed at Andover station, it was my first time at a station operated by Southwest trains. I found that none of the drivers waved or honked. Is this a typical southwest trains thing or was I just unlucky.
bmxwaffle Yes this is true, swt drivers aren't supposed to give off tones unfortunately
ok, thats a shame, thanks for telling me
i like yourchanel, but is it possible to include engines that are stabled please
+Chris Alton Thanks bud. If I'm in an area like that again then I'll make sure to include them. 😊
hi Kiran are you going to swindon on the 1st of March because their is a steam train coming through. The times are at 11:00 and 7:20
+isaac the incredible wells Hey mate. Unfortunately I'm not. I will be in college that day.
Eastleigh is better than Southampton isn't it
2:31 What is happening?
+Sean Cheng I love Eastleigh. I left a comment as to what happened bud, it froze for about 30 seconds and then carried on.
Oh sorry, I couldn't see it......
Is there a busier time of day for freight
I know there are but not sure of when
