This could possibly be the best Garbage album for me. Purely because each album helped me heal at a different time in my life from being a traumatised teen, to adult who couldnt deal, losing friends etc. Now after years, I have published my story, I now love and am accepting of all versions of myself and not battling anymore...this album is resonating so strongly! It feels like classic Garbage but somehow it is fresh, vibrant and brimming with life and hope, in a compeltely fuckked up world. I love it! I am finally comfortable being the weird uncomfortable one! 🥰 music really does heal!

I always love these songs that they do that's more of a comfort song for outsiders and outcasts. There's just a way that Shirley constructs lyrics that really hit hard and I can't help but love her take on the theme, very heartfelt and personal. Definitely one of the best songs on the album ❤️

the most prescient thing about this song (and album) is about how the pandemic kind of threw people off their b.s. and without any ground to lay on, the loneliness, neuroses, lies, got exposed. The Western wellness and success culture has really made people emotionally disconnected and unable to deal with even the tiniest bit of anguish, or inner contradictions. The most attuned, sensitive and lucid ones are who suffer as misfits. but if you think about the human condition IS to be a misfit... we are nothing but sexed and fragile mortal beings, acting out of a mix of our subconscious desires and aspirations, we don't know what we want or what to do with oursleves most of the times....
Couldn't have said it better myself, Juan. It's kind of funny in a way, during this pandemic people lost their shit and I was in a sea of calmness, I felt isolated my entire life and have been "social distancing" since I was a teenager.

But I think I'm finally growing out of it, and starting to care WAY less how other people think of me, and if they judge me for being strange, etc! And I love how you speak to all us freaky little outcasts, and our lived experiences in this crazy world.. Plus I believe, in order to recover from something, you first have to ACKNOWLEDGE it, and work through it, step by step! Which, this song has really helped me do that. Plus it's just generally beautiful, and it deeply touches my soul. So.. again, thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
