787 is a catagory D aircraft, so you need to use the correct minimums.
Hello mate! I think I generally misunderstand the category minimums on approach plates. Just to clarify, is it based on the final approach speed or on the aircraft's "size"? Thanks in advance! :D
@@flightsimpassionyes it dependens on the weight and final approach speed. The 737 and a320 are category c aircraft. D aircraft are the heavy planes like the 787 or 747 and A catagory aircraft are little cessna’s.

Not really true, the 788 is C or D, depending on the operator‘s MLAW

Love your format it's original and entertaining, as you passed in Madagascar could you do a landing in antananarivo or Fascene they are quite challenging but the landscapes are beautiful

I've been a airplane lover since I was a child and as said I'm from Mayotte and Air Austral is my favorite airline ever (btw both 787-8 and 777-200 are my favorite planes within their fleet), I've always wanted to be a pilot but I was too scared thinking that I'll need an incredible level into mathematics and so I just never tried to get into it, I instead went into IT which was also part of my passions until recently. I joined an aeroclub recently in order to get a PPL because I want to get back into my initial dream of being a pilot.

For landings in reunion they use Runnway 14 but not the 12
Thanks for pointing this out! The approach into 12 looked more intersting because of the final turn, let's just imagine that 14 was in maintenance for this one, haha! :D
