  • Hi, welcome to Deaf Talks News.
Recently, we all know about the Wayanad landslide.
300+ people died, and 1000+ people lost their houses.
They are still staying in the camps, and many people are helping.
Yesterday, Kerala Bank announced that it had waived the loans of the Wayanad landslide victims.
The Kerala State Government owns Kerala Bank, a cooperative bank.
There are 1000 customers in this bank branch.
The bank has announced that the loans of those who died in the landslide, lost their belongings, and lost their houses in this branch have been fully waived off.
Also, the Kerala Bank administration has given Rs. 50 lakh to the Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
Apart from this, each of the employees working in the bank donated 5 days of their wages to the Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
This is a great initiative from the bank side.
However, the details of how many of the landslide-affected people have loans from this bank are yet to be revealed.
    The process will start soon.
Similarly, all the banks have to come forward and waive the loan amount for these people.
Because they don't have anything to pay back.
The union government should take these initiatives in the direction of the Wayanad people.
