Myles Kennedy and Slash are a perfect pairing when it comes to Rock.
Tremonti and Myles are right there as well. But what makes Myles so good is with his vocal range, he can sing just about anything. Plus, he is a very underrated guitar player as well. Regarding Slash, what strikes me the most is that it looks like he is finally in a place where he is having fun with making music whereas with GNR, he was always dealing with Axl's nonsense and with Slither, there was a little disconnect with Scott Weiland.

During the chorus, if I look away I'm actually reminded of Steve Perry. Such powerful vocals and rich note quality.
Great riff, great solo, but one of the things that I love about Slash is his keen sense for melodic playing. He has just the right blend of melody and feel with the fast bluesy shreddery. Great stuff.

I saw GnR twice (2017 and 2020) and Slash with Myles once (2019) and Slash with Myles put on a WAAAAY better show. GnR just does practically the same show every night for years / decades. They always start with “It’s So Easy.” Don’t know how they don’t get bored playing the same show since forever.

I feel when slash plays with the conspirators he’s got more creative control which I think gives him the confidence to write better music than guns at this point. Now I don’t mean better than old school AFD/UYI type GNR but more like Chinese democracy/ absurd GNR. I don’t know it’s hard to tell but I get a different vibe at this point and I feel like after listening to absurd we get an idea of what direction axl wants to take GNR and it feels a bit dissident slash’s style. Guess only Time will tell though. I’m really hyped for both.

This combo of him and Slash is crazy good only rivaling his combo with Mark Tremonti, Brian, and Scott. He is as good as he appears on video. And that is to take nothing away from the man/Slash! I actually talked to Brent on the phone the other day and we talked a bit about slash and the album. He’s super nice and such a talented musician/artist. Franks a killer guitarist too. This might just be the most aesthetically beautiful, skilled & talented 'older' rock band I've ever seen. When you really think about it, the simplicity of Slash's style is absolute genius. The man never ages!

Myles is indeed a vocal MARVEL. I remember some drip of a critic earlier on in the story of SFMKC saying that Myles was just trying to be another Axl. It struck me at the time as a pitiful thing to say. Even more so now!

The last time a new Rock and Roll Song had my interest like this was Izzy Stradlin's "Baby Rann". That was a long time ago in 2012. This is good music.
Well at 58 years old I acknowledge that I am a die hard G&R fan. I was listening to them long before they hit the main stream. Seen them a few times in the 90s and then again a couple years back. But I gotta say that personally for me what G&RS draw for me was is SLASH. There's no one out there today that's a better ax man than he is. As the years have passed he's proved it with his solo work and then again with Velvet Revolver. In fact it's a dam shame what happened to Velvet Revolver. The band was awesome. If fact in my opinion they were as good as and could have been bigger than G&R. The world lost and was now stuck with the what ifs the day of that untimely death. Who knows we're they could have gone. One can only imagine.
This brings us to the present. I have been listing to Sash and Myles Kennedy since the first collaboration. I got to say that with each effort they progressively got better and better. This Fourth offering is top notch. These guys sound great. Slash artistically seems to be at the top of his game the band sounds great and are flawless. Coupled with Myles's vocals and all I can say is that this band is something special.
In addition I recently, not even two weeks ago, saw them live. I gotta say it was more than worth the price of a ticket. The venue was a mid sized location that was highly conducive to sound. In turn the band and it's performance rocked. These guys looked relaxed and seemed to have fun. I was amazed at just how much they all interacted with the audience. They played for just over two hours. For that time I gotta say slash was mesmerizing. His ability to play, the speed at which he could shred, and the flawlessness at which he did it were epic. Nobody out there today is better than he is. In fact the band itself is something to take note of. While they may not have been launched from a rocket , they are on the way to true greatness. A greatness that will match and maybe exceed that of G&R and Velvet Revolver. Through it all there's the one constant they all had , a guitarist that goes by the name SLASH.
If you have not seen them I suggest you do. It's a concert worth seeing and being part of. I assure you you will not regret it and you'll have a fricking blast!
