  • This is a brief examination of verses in the Quran which may relate to some of the arguments that are commonly had between theists and atheists. One thing that wasn't mentioned in this lecture is chapter 52.35-26 which is a key verse that may be also used in reference to these debates.

    Wallah you work very hard for us as Muslims. You fight for us at speakers corner. You always educate us and you share the knowledge Allah has bestowed upon you with us. You give us ways to argue with non believers. May Allah give you a long life. And a blessed present and future. May Allah grant you more knowledge and strength.

    SubhanAllah. As soon as I saw the title of this video, the first thing that came to my mind was Surat Al-Jāthiyah (45) which brother Mohammad began to recite and speak about. The Quran most definitely addresses the ideology and lifestyle of atheists. At the time of the Prophet Muhammad (saw), this was essentially the Quryash of Mecca. Today in 2018, this is the atheists & antitheists that we see all around us. Such humans have always been in denial and constantly rejecting the truth- such as denying the resurrection, wanting unreasonable signs as proofs, “worshipping” their own desires, claiming the previous revelations of God to be “legends & fables of the ancients,” and and an overall ingratitude and disacknowledgement or “covering” (the literal meaning of “Kufr”) of God’s mercy, blessings, as well as His revelations.
    And it is the perfection of the Quran that Allah (swt) addresses these ungrateful people, who will always exist within any nation or civilization. He warns and refutes the arrogant & disobedient among them, and gives His signs & proofs to those who are sincere, that perhaps they may be guided.
    May Allah (swt) guide us all along the straight path. Ameen.
    *”Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and God has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after God? Then will you not be reminded?” (Quran **45:23**)*

    Mohammed Hijab; would you consider 'Ad & Thamud atheists, since the people of Hud seemed to worship their strength more than anything else & they didn't really worship idols nor other gods (polytheism) besides their own selves.; Thamud did the same sort of thing, there were no other gods mentioned that they were worshiping?
    I would consider 'Ad, Thamud, Nimrod, Pharaoh & their kinds to be suitheists which is atheism in a sort of way.

  • @korsol
    @korsol Před 5 lety +1

    Brother Hijab I have often heard atheists bring up that there might have been multiple big bangs where this universe was a succes one from them, they bring this up in response up to the chance and finetuning argument with the propability theory. Do you have an anwser to this?

  • @robbieparis07
    @robbieparis07 Před 5 lety +7

    The fine tuning argument is just as unproductive as most theistic arguments. It's a good example of why science is superior to religion. It is another case of starting with the conclusion, and working backwards to justify it using examples from your faith. Science, and rightly so, works in the opposite direction.

    • @fatimahurayra9293
      @fatimahurayra9293 Před 5 lety +30

      Not necessarily.
      Evolution is based on the atheistic premise of no God

    • @zackyzau2505
      @zackyzau2505 Před 5 lety +26

      Even though he did not go into the details of the fine tuning argument you can read up on the details from other sources. He cited Martin Rees' just six numbers as a source. And I don't agree with with the whole science vs religion argument. Science has nothing to do with whether or not a creator exists. The discourse is more between philosophical naturalism and religion.

    • @robbieparis07
      @robbieparis07 Před 5 lety +7

      @ Miss Huraya - Incorrect. Evolution is based on observation and tests. It didn't start with a premise of 'i believe there is no God, so lets start with that and work backwards and see what explanation we can come up with'.

    • @robbieparis07
      @robbieparis07 Před 5 lety +6

      @zacky zau - the thing that bothers me about the argument is that it basically says that things are good for humans as they are, therefore they must have been designed that way. it makes more sense that humans simply adapted to how things are.

    • @zackyzau2505
      @zackyzau2505 Před 5 lety +24

      I think you have misunderstood the fine tuning argument. It does not say that the universe is fine tuned for life to exist in the way that it does. It says that the universe is fine tuned for any sort of life to exist at all.
