"Anyone finding themselves in a situation where the word "edgelord" is thrown around probably already knows what it means" is giving the first Polish dictionary's definition of "horse": "everyone can see what a horse is"

I love language's inability to change. I mean that's why this sentence is exactly the same as it would be 500 years ago.

calling zhuzh one of the worst words is a little unfair, look more deeply into Polari to understand the nature of its usage and origin

Zhuzh entered Polari from Hungarian. It was as word people used in the US in the 00's because there was a guy on TV who said it.

It's our own fault these words are in the dictionary; we use them, they get added. So, we stop using them, and maybe they get removed? Anyway, everyone stop using the term "beast mode"

Zhuzh was a huge part of the zeitgeist in the 2000's. Anyone 25 and up in the English speaking world would likely have heard it used.

(Excuse me if I am missing some irony here - if so, carry on.) What are you *talking* about? What else is a dictionary to do than list words used in a language? Notably, the OED contains almost all words mentioned in this video, as it should - what makes it preferable to MW? Is your point that MW is too slow to pick up on many rather common terms?
