Sure 😊 For Waist - 42., and if you want 2" pleats on your cloth (170 inches or 4.3 mtr), then on your cloth, you will mark 2" then 6" , then 2" then 6" again 2" and then 6" and so on.... all through the cloth. Please see how we got 6" calculation below and adjust per your total cloth measurement - replace 170 with whatever you have.) For example, if your total cloth is 170 inches (leave 2 inches for margin so 170 - 12 = 168 inches is our total cloth). Cloth remaining for pleats = 168 - 42 (waist) = 126 inches. If you want 2" pleats, then No. of pleats = 42/2" = 21 pleats. You will get 21 pleats. Now Calculate cloth to push under each pleat = Cloth remaining for pleats / No. of pleats = 126/21 = 6", so after each pleat we will have to push 6" cloth under the pleat. I used 170 inches saree for Lehenga. Total Saree after removing pallu is 170 inches. When making pleats -> If we leave 2 inches for margin - then we will have 168 inches left. Then out of 168 inches, 28 is my waist so 168 - 28 = 140 inches. so 28 inches will be the pleats and 140 inches will go under pleats. Thank you. Hope this clears, please let me know of any questions.
