Mitch, correction… over 1.4B people! You missed 400M on your number which is equivalent to US population. We don’t need to sell a single car in the US. On top of that, probably only 10% of the US population can afford a NIO.. maybe 25% with ONVO in the mix.. which means 100M people who would even be able to afford one… then yoh think about the size of the Chinese middle class.. it’s more than the total population of the US.
Don't forget that China and India together have 2.9B people.. Imagine that just 5% could eventually buy an onvo.. It would mean a lot of 💰💰!! Go NIO!! 🚀🚀

No it won't as baas acts also as a network stabilizer when excess electricity is produces by gas turbines. Plus is less insurance cost, adds better resale value as you can buy the car and swap for a brand new battery. And also you can at any time upgrade/downgrade battery capacity. So don't try to push the tesla, rivian, lucid mentality of failed yet still they look for ways to confuse the public so they still rob everyone
@terrishapiro do you want to : - pay more insurance for a car with a fixed battery ? of a fixed capacity? - have a less resale value because of a fixed old battery? - not be able to swap capacity of the battery, if you are going travel long distances, or if you just need extra capacity for a particular day/week, say you work from home and just run errands but on certain weeks you need to commute more to work? - not have at least the option, of charging or replacing for a brand new one ? - standing out in the cold weather or in the scorching hot weather of Florida or Middle east is no fun either. Why not an option of both and each can decide what to do?

I think you are missing the fact that battery swap ensures the end user never gets stuck with a bad battery... so technically the battery swappable car could be passed down for generations Vs EVs with fixed batteries that will eventually die out NO matter how fast they charge nor how far they can go in a single charge (range).... Battery swapping with subscriptions is the ultimate revenue generator!
