Notice the pho in the north vs the south. Even the noodles are different. One is larger and one is thinner. You also get more vegetables in the south / central vietnam. The north makes their pho a little bland shile the central/ south makes it more saltier / sweeter.

The Viet coffee is often very high in caffeine that (equal double or triple espresso shots) even though been drinking it all my life I haven't build up the tolerant to down it like Note did lol. 13:50 the Chinese name sounds 90% similar to how Viet call it "giò cháo quẩy" since a lot of Vietnamese words have Chinese or French origin due to our history.

Sometimes the best food are the one that are hidden. When I see tourist eating places that are not recommended by other tourist or youtuber, I feel happy because sometimes the food in Vietnam taste the best when it’s in a corner, in deep alley, or not well known to other foreigners. When I see many foreigners and traveller eating at the same place, drinking coffee at the same spot, they are not experiencing other food stall that offer better food and experience.

The orange pho you guys ate is phở sốt vang (French wine sauce pho). It has the orange color because of turmeric starch. A masterpiece fused both western and orient cuisine.

@@lindabuck2777 Hello Linda, IMO you should try pho ga (chicken pho) first, it's tasty, blandness and nutrinious. Healthy and assimilative. It's an easy home-cooking too, you can make your own version. There are plenty of recipes in youtube. Then the 2nd one, beef pho.

I’ll never return to ietnam. I was there for about 18 months during the conflict. Yes I also had very good friend who was POW at Hanoi prison 6 3/4 years.😢 but the photo you are sharing are very nice. Thank you. No am not bitter. I was unarmed when flying and the planes I flew were unarmed.😊
The bloopers made me comments. Note should have tried đen đá (iced coffee). The ice makes the coffee less strong. Or maybe Iced milk coffee will be better. 😅😅😅 Also, i love "romance in the air of West lake" part. 😂 I dont think I've seen any foreigner trying it before. Have fun time in Ha Noi. I about gasped when he drank that Vietnamese drip coffee straight up. That's like drinking an espresso shot straight up and then some. Most people ice it down to dilute the strength a bit.

Caphe Den Da -- The reason it's strong is because you have to drink it with ice. The ice will dilute the coffee.
