Thank you Tony! Video was very helpful and thorough!! Just installed myself on my 2018 Kia Sportage. All good 👍. Remote fobs with kit, were already programmed by Kia; and I have the Key start model. FYI to anyone, the kit from Kia was on back order and took 3 months to get it.

Great How-To video and easy to follow. I consider myself to be mechanically inclined but I don't think I would want to try that on my 2022 Sportage. Plus having to have the extra remote, I can barely carry all the crap I carry in my pockets already I don't want to add something else. Thanks

That's a really great install guide you did. I have a new to me 2020 Kia Sportage and want to do this myself. Can you tell me what kit you installed? I did a Ford f250 OEM on my truck and really miss that I don't have a remote start for the car. Thanks!

Awesome video. I’m going to use this video to install my remote starter into my 2018 Sportage. Does the AC/heat need to be manually turned on already in order for that to turn on when you use the remote starter?
Yes, You would need to leave the AC or heat on so that it turns on with the vehicle.
Hello, amazing video, it really helped me installing the same kit.on the same car, even though the kit comes with a manual but seeing the steps is faster and easier.
I have one issue with this kit, it's not bypassing the immobilizer and the engine is not starting, any suggested solution?
I am not sure. Mine worked right away. I think there is a different kit if you have a push button starter, my KIA has a key start.
Any ideas for an easy kill switch using the existing dealership karr alarm installation set up? Prob spliced into the ignition?

Yes!, There was a different OE kit for the KIA Sportage models with the push start button. Not sure of the kit number but it is different than mine.

How can I purchase this remote starter kit
I purchased mine from the dealership. There are 2 versions one for cars with the start push button, and one for cars without the push button remote start from the factory.

OEM key can't use in remote starter
There are two different remote starters for this KIA. One is for a key start car, the other is if your KIA had a push button start stop and no key needed in ignition. Hope this helps to clarify.
