Fifty years after the assassination of Malcolm X on February 21, 1965... NBC NEWS look's back at highlights from his speeches and Martin Luther King, Jr. reflects on the loss.
I discovered Malcolm in 1991,my best friend let me hear a speech of his, until then I've heard very sketchy things about him, then after that speech I heard, I was deeply impressed, saying to myself "why didn't our people follow him, he makes more sense than Dr.King, even when I first heard Dr.King I really wasn't impressed with him, I didn't take to Dr.King as fast as I taken to Malcolm, Malcolm is my hero, I've read every book about him, studied his speeches immensely, if I lived in the 60s, I would have been a follower of Malcolm
I can listen to Malcom X,everyday.I am sad, that he is no longer alive. He was a blessing. He had love for his people & good intentions. He was smart, classy, focused, masculine,a critical thinker, calm, senseable, etc. As long as I live,I will listen to his speeches, watch his videos & read his writings.I'll pass on his positive ideas & words.I will offer my son,Malcom's autobiography. If I had the power to bring someone back to life,I'd bring Malcom X,back to life.I had the pleasure,of seeing his widow,at Medgar Evers College.I believe that Malcom was killed, because he taught self-help & self-knowledge,critical thinking, the truth,self-worth,independence,humane treatment,morals,self-protection,love of the Most High, etc. The devil's servants & worshippers, felt hate, defiance, insecurity & threatened.I wonder if the folks who spoke out against Malcom X,did they also speak out against folks who preached hatred, destruction, racism, chaos, brutality,
I used to chase after white approval all the time especially that of white women. I used to be ashamed of my race and my colour but now I am proud of my south asian ‘brown’ ancestry. #Black revolution!!!
I have to say I was totally shocked when the young white man said that he thought Brother Malcolm X was a brilliant Man, and gave him praise. I have much respect for him, In all my years I have never heard a white person have Brother Malcolm respect and praise such as this. He was the one wearing the trench coat and black hat.
Hezakya you have done it yet again finding some classic material. I've never seen these interviews before. Some of them I've seen as pictures in history books but to actually hear what was going on its a beautiful thing. Looking back on this its really sad to see that they killed off our brilliant leaders. I can just imagine how our people would have become in the 1970's on up till today's present time had guys like Malcolm, Medgar Evers, and Dr.King lived.
even alot of nazi types respect him. i know because im one of them. its been that way from the beginning too, george lincoln rockwell went to some of his rallies and said he admired him very much

The murder of Brother Malcolm X was unjustly and demonic done by both of the FBI and the Nation of Islam. Malcolm was uplifting and he put his life on the line amongst Africans globally and in my opinion his philosophies were honest and justified.
much of what Malcolm said was true then and it's true now. the truth has no expiration. the discourse of a godly man is always wisdom. a fools conversation changes like the moon.
