- This is the night that Jeremy Corbyn won Islington North again and was re-elected this time as an independent candidate.
Since the latest poll came out showing Labour ahead in Islington North after the cruel decision by the Labour Party to stop Jeremy Corbyn and other left wing Labour MPs from standing as Labour Party candidates at this General Election, we mounted a huge campaign in order to get the vote out in Islington North. And boy did we do that - we won by over 7,000 votes smashing the Labour candidate, and beating the number of votes Keir Starmer got in his constituency too.
Corbyn has always been a fantastic MP serving Islington North for over 40 years - securing the future of the local Whittington Hospital and always campaigning for the future of our NHS at a national level. Keir Starmer's Labour Party wanted to replace him with a someone working for private health interests trying to profit from our National Health Service. They failed. The people powered campaign won. It was beautiful. Solidarity forever.

So relieved for all of us well beyond Islington, who want honest, honorable, uncorruptible politicians like Jeremy who stand for former Labour values & practical policies to tackle injustice & poverty. Proud to know Jeremy & to have travelled far to contribute modestly, briefly to this campaign. But for Labour’s duplicity, lies, suppression of members rights, this campaign should never have been necessary. Now we need a unified national left political campaign & party as no hope of Labour returning to its roots with takeover completed with top down authoritarianism.
So Well said!!👏👏👏👏
Well done, Mr Corbyn. God bless you
Brings a tear to my eye, but these are happy tears. One of the most inspiring day and night of my life. An amazing achievement. I hope to share some photos I took from spending the day with Jeremy in a future video. Thanks for sharing
❤️ wasn't it awesome
Well done you all;-) JC still the Man;-) what are the Greens doing standing against JC they will lose my vote if they do that again
Was a joy to campaign alongside you!
would love to have been there when the result was announced.
I am so happy for JC and Islington!! 💚👏👏👏plus for the rest of us who have a voice in parliament to speak up for peace, justice and our rights! Go Jeremy!!
Thanks for sharing this 🙏
me too it's such a relief isn't it!
He is adored, why because he is a genuinely honest caring human being .❤
I was dreading JC losing and letting IDS win his seat still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm so pleased for the Greens too. I'm especially proud of all those who knocked on doors too.
Absolutely criminal what the labour party did to Faiza Shaheen wasn't it
OOOOHHH JEREMY CORBYN!
Sure is!!
A heart-warming victory! Congratulations from Melbourne.
@@philroberts7238 ah that's lovely! Thank you Phil. I was so relieved
Congratulations to the man who should have been PRIME MINISTER Years ago This country would have been wealthier and happier
It’s easy to say that but I’m pretty sure the pandemic would have derailed Jezza’s agenda just as it did Boris’s. We will never know. He may well have had the guts to stand up to Biden on Ukraine, but maybe not.
❤❤❤ well done
Why would anyone in their right mind vote in this person?
@@Offshoreorganbuilder you talking about Praful Nargund? The NHS privatising profiteer who stood for the Labour Party after Labour's National Executive Committee did him dirty? I don't know either. But I'm glad we got Corbyn in who has always been there for the people of Islington North, especially against privatising the NHS 👍
Because he's a decent, principled man who has dedicated his life to fighting for the little guy.
@@natsurusenou131 We must agree to differ.
@@Offshoreorganbuilder you don't seem to have any arguments so it's difficult to see how we disagree since you haven't said anything of substance
@@SamGSwann We disagree as to Jeremy Corbyn's character.
At least he doesn't run the labour party anymore
boring substance-free comment
@@buolindo8795
He never did run it. He headed it jn democratic fashion. Not like zionist starmer who purged the party of free thinkers snd installed yes men and women. Corbyn was a leader of men and women but in a world of snakes his days were numbered.
