Thing is the P30 Pro doesn't really need the night mode anymore. It's auto mode can do just as well. In a near pitch dark room, the P30 Pro in auto mode can produce a much brighter image than Pixel 3 even with night side. Vlad at the Verge showed proof. I tried it myself and got same results.
I actually don't agree with your last statement. Huawei phone are very easy to use to shoot photos. Just leave it on photo mode, turn on the master AI. You are good to go.

I been wanting to say so much for a long time with people who really don't know how to use a camera. they just point and shoot and say bad camera. ITS for the pros that's why its called P30 PROFESSONAL lol you have to know what you are doing. this camera blows every smart phone cam out the water ,,,,when I say all of them I mean all of them!!!!!

I'm really starting to hate these CZcamsrs for dumbing down consumers. It is really offensive to be told that these phones are hard to use when they're as easy to use as every other phone. You look on the screen, find an option, press it, and you're there.

Not a CZcamsr. The Pixel 3 is easier to take the best possible shot for most of us.

@@matsmith9757 P30 Pro is easier, Huaweis switch to portrait, night mode, super macro etc. automatically when master AI is on. You literally don't need to do anything so even easier to use than Pixels, and the Master AI can recognize over 5000 objects+adjust settings accordingly.

hmmm so you think its hard for average people to take good photos with the p30 pro… why on earth would that be. Using auto mode is just as easy as any phone, and the only options you really need to use are the zoom options in case something is far away and i´m pretty sure any mom can figure that out. In other words is a far more versatile camera than the pixel 3
Yep versatile for sure..but I think what he meant was P30 pro camera shines when not using auto mode..manually setting distance, focus, night mode even zoom in video etc needs user control n input at the right situation...Where else Pixel 3 up have no choice but to shoot on auto as it is..just point n shoot..no zoom or switching cameras..versatility wins in my opinion but then again I'm using pixel 2xl n it's the most reliable n easy to use phone camera ever..u hardly get bad photos with pixel cameras
Sorry but don´t agree, with my mate 20 X with identical camera software you don´t need to use the pro more ever and night mode is one button away, same with the pixel as far as I know. So no difference there.
@@Dare2Blink I agree with you..but then again portrait n night mode..the button shows up automatically when the camera thinks u need it..n it gives you great photos..
They both excellent phone cameras though no doubt..but then again I couldn't get the mate 20pro like I wanted initially coz I'm in America..n govt hates Huawei here

Like say if someone buys a top of the line 2000$ DSLR n uses only auto mode..I think they r dumb right.. Huawei top phones r that 2000$ DSLR..it just needs to improve its software n ease of use more n more
Nah I understand what he's saying. I've used the P30 Pro and a phone (Mi Mix 2S) with the Gcam mod and the Google camera app is way easier to use.
no,I have a pixel3 and my friend has a p20pro,I used his p20pro for night time photo and compared it to my pixel.p20pro are just so much better,high light controled very well where in the pixel was just over exposed.and p20pro had so many details and less noise,that's clearly better when you
saw it on the phone screen and computer screen.pixel's photo were brighter but too much noise,and somehow the color temperature was just wrong,it turned green light into red in night sight.I don't know why so many youtubers are saying pixel's night sight are better than huawei's night mode,when I compare them side by side,I can see huawei is much better due to the bigger sensor.

I also have a Huawei P20 Pro and I have to agree. Great camera, great night shots. Though I also have a Note 9, I find myself reaching for the P20 Pro most of the time.
The p20 pro has nothing else than the camera... Everything else is pure shit.
I have it and I regret the purchase.
Back to Sony soon
P30 Pro beats Pixel 3 any day, even regular P20 is better than Pixel's underexposed daylight photos and yellow night pics, Google's copied night mode can't come close to the original with worse exposure, yellow colours, worse dynamic range, worse white balance, blown out highlights and way more noise.
its called "pro" for a reason. lol. not for the faint of heart. 😅😅😅

Huawei is easy to use but difficult to get in US.
How do you figure? You can order it on Amazon and many other places. I've bought them at Bestbuy in person as well..
huawei is sooo easy to get on ebay got my mate 9, mate 10 pro, mate 20x & p20 pro on ebay much cheaper than get em on aliexpress or from ebay vendors from china...

compare to HUAWEI, Samsung is way overhyped and overpriced. The reason Samsung has some sales number in the US, because most Americans can't afford to buy but lease the phone without a care about the actual value, and Samsung does not have any real competitor thanks the "free market". 🤣

I'm happy with my iPhone 8+ and Moment lenses. Plus the plethora of app's for editing. Not a fanboy, used to be an Android user.
I have the P30 pro and the video for the main 40mp lens has frame rate issues, everyone I've talked to experiences this. This doesn't happen with the telephoto and wide angle. I hope they fix this in the next update

why didnt you tested p30 pro vs pixel 3 in extremly dim eviroments, in AA samples it already beat the crap out of the pixel 3 nightsight and i highly disagree with your last statement, the camera is easy to use, you cant get confused by it, just dumb person would. Also it works the other way around pixel 3 is FEATURLESS and dont let you be creative using a Pro mode or other things.

Hi I just bought this camera and I can't find the function to put 2 video recordings together (same as the from far and from close video that is in this video). Can someone pls advice me how to activate this?
They designed an Entry-level SLR camera equivalent phone at an affordable price for entry or intermediate level photographer.
The selfie camera is far from having a good dynamic range it seems. And the video appears to have some micro jitters. And how about the audio recording bitrate? Have all these addressed?

you should try to test the camera in really dark situations , then compare pixel 3 with it in that kind of dark situation such as night club. and then tell me which one is better.
Yeh restaurant, bar, out and about at night.
I don't care much for taking photos of pitch black situations and seeing which one can bring out colours. You'd never take a photo in that situation. Highlight control, sharpness, low noise in a low light situation is better than a no light situation

if you consider all aspects the p30 pro camera definitely beat the pixel 3. single camera is just not enough doesn't matter how good the software is. No wide angle, average zoom capability, no macro shot, hit and miss bokeh effect. So many things are missing

On the last statement, I don't think anyone would buy that phone without the interest or knowledge of using the camera features.

Video looks pretty jerky when panning , at least less jelly than last years .
ISO (Auto mode) can be as high as 409,600, or may be called shooting even in the dark, the human eye level is still not visible.
Huawei's saturation is a dealbreaker for me
plus the google camera app, this p30 pro will be a killer camera phone.
U will lose a lot of features though..p30 camera interface is not bad..I just need to get use to it

@@TkGz na I don't think u will get better picture quality when compared to pixel just by the 40mp cam..coz first it's actually 10mp processed 4 times..same as what the oppo phone did or old HTC use to do with 4mp..second Pixel photos look much better coz of its processing..the camera AI does most of the heavy lifting in pixel phone.
If you switch off auto HDR on both n shoot..I'm sure Huawei is going to have far better results in most conditions..I have a pixel 2xl btw

I watched this video on a TV and wasn't pleased with the results. The zoom is impressive but the video quality and stabilization is not near a tripod. The bokeh looks so fake, it's just heavy blur applied to the background.
But why do you do a camera review and release the video in 1080p?

P30 pro results are really bad. I just got it coming from the pixel and portrait mode looks terrible the zoom option only works in great lighting.... I can't get 1 clean looking pictures with good colors

Hard to believe Huawei bend optics rule. They pics from p20 are full of noise even in daylight.
Pixel's night mode is a joke. It makes night shots look like they were taken in mornings. That's not how night shots are supposed to look like. Period.

lol what...i am using a pixel 2 and the camera is still miles ahead on what u get on a sammy and an apple....agreed sammy has good cam but the front cam is trash on a sammy and the potrait mode sucks major ass....pixel has amazing hdr and the night mode beats the living crap out of apple or sammy..huawie has this weird color on their photos it looks a lot like they applied all the filters from instagram
