- With boat repair parts at the Post Office, we finally make a run in the Swamp Runner that turns into another long day of river travel. But, we do take you inside the historic Manley Roadhouse. You'll get to see just how hard it is to use a swamp runner on a fast moving river like the Tanana.
Wow, this video really opened my eyes to the challenges of remote living. The constant battle with the weather and the river seems intense. Mad respect for those who choose this lifestyle - it's not for the faint of heart!

I've always dreamed of living off-grid, but this video shows it ain't all sunshine and rainbows. The constant battle with nature is real. Still, there's something beautiful about the simplicity and connection to the environment. Thanks for sharing your journey!

Yes an all day ride for the mail means you love where you live ! Awesome ride along i love the water but now only when i can get on a road trip for a break from my building projects on the homestead :) But was out last month got some good video & awesome fishing :))

@@AlaskaBushLiving I'm sure you get time for fishing more than i do living on the river :) I Did get a couple fishing vids up a couple weeks ago then a tour of Hay river & water falls on the way home :) I look forward to seeing you enjoying a day on the water with a pole in hand, Hopefully a fish on the end !
I saw those, I thought you had new ones to upload....and I have fished two times in the last four years...just too many projects going on here...plus, they keep closing the fishery around here...not closed now, but its very limited
