I haven’t tried Merit, but agree about Kind Words verse Rose Inc. I really thought I would like Rose because of the colors, but found it drying and pasty. Kind Words is one of my favorite lipstick and liner lines though and the Fun color in particular is so balanced and flattering. I have medium-tan skin with warm, olive undertones and it is my go to nude when I don’t know what to wear. Thanks for your honest comparison. Merit seems like a good brand too.
100%! Sounds like we had a similar experience. I still wear Fun almost every time I go out and I want something that stands out while still looking neutral. It's such a flattering shade and I'm glad to hear you love it too 🥰
suuuuch a good review! so glad i found your channel looking for rose inc reviews. agree, omg so hard to figure out which shade i want - the swatches online do not help. but this helped me decide that i don’t need this as badly as i thought due to the drying aspect!! so helpful that you wore it through the day to show how it faded ❤

Aw man, I’ve been really wanting to tryout the rose inc lipsticks! I recently bought a MAC lipstick in the powder kiss formula and it dries out my lips so bad, are the rose inc ones like that? My lips are very prone to dryness. I’ve never had an issue with something like MAC’s love me formula, so I wasn’t expecting their soft matte formula to make my lips so chapped and even bloody!
I haven't tried the MAC powder kiss formula, but that sounds uncomfortable! The rose inc lipsticks were a surprising miss for me :(
Omg thank you for comparing these. I love your in depth analysis. Have you tried any of the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks or the saie lipsticks. Please let me know since I want to get some but not sure

I find the merit lipstick really drying really quickly.
I'm so triggered at how high up the bullets are when you swatch. Why?!
