One of the the most important thing was not mentioned and that is the US embargo.
Miloshmkd This is a video about geography mainly.

It was.
Geopolitics involves mending relationships. US embargo is the failure of Cuban leadership to guide it's interests among the interests of other foreign interests. It is the blame on Cuban leadership, not on the US. It says a lot that a country falls back on grievances and dogma over a infinitely more beneficial relationship with the US, a major economic power.

Cuba's main challenge: Decades of a harsh US embargo destroying their economy.
America is not obligated to trade with Cuba, or any other party.
@@Jake-rs9nq I didn't claim otherwise. I was just stating an important point for why Cuba's economy is what it is.
@@banished341Cuba trades openly to over 100 nations and territories. Their main problem is their horrible economic policies
Great novel about modern Cuba - The Waterfields - Kirk Houghton on Amazon
Before the revolution of 1959, Cuba was the largest trading partner of New Orleans. Historically, Cuba has had a link to New Orleans, and not only with the commerce of the early 20th century. There was also alot of contact between both places as New Orleans and Cuba were once part of the Spanish Empire.
Title of music?
I agree. Their geographical location gives them an opportunity to become a huge Caribbean trade hub, like the numerous Asian island nations that have leveraged their access to sea lanes.
Also, due to their geography and history, they have concerns about other powers looking to dominate that process. I feel that in the 21st century this notion is probably a bit overblown, but it has effected the psyche of the elite, so will make progress hard going forward.
Cuba's Geographic Challenges:
Yes
Do Aruba's Geographic Challenge please .
Cuba 🇨🇺
Do Jamaica's Geographic Challenge.
nobody cares about Jamaica.
Cuba has always had an economic problem with sugar so surely its main challenge is to find a more competitive and open economic outlook?
There is no real need for additional agriculture. Sugar is a low-cost commodity. In order to make it profitable, you need to sell large volumes of it. Agriculture in the present global economy is really out of food security, not as a way for growth. Cuba could benefit as a trade hub similar to Singapore. The leadership in Cuba clearly don't know what they are doing.
Cuba's Geographic Challenge: You can't build a wall on its borders!!
we should make it the 51st state
No
This country has tremondous potential, such a shame it's wasted.
the only latin american country that stood against US evil influence, but in the end Cuba accepted the fact that some evils re necessary
Ooh very arable!!
I love Cuba great country and they must bring back Russia this is important for the Cuban iconomic

KILL BA
-_- it was ok...
This analysis was pretty shitty too. How can you not mention a word about the embargo that has lasted over 50 years? Same goes to this guy, why even bother making these geopolitical videos if you know nothing about the subject you are speaking about?
The US doesn't have to have any relations with any country that they don't get along with.
Dragon Luffy Youre missing the point. Vessels that dock at cuban ports are blacklisted for a period of months from american ports. Since the US is the dominant powerhouse in the region, this of course has a huge impact on who wants to trade with cuba while sacrificing the opportunity to trade with the US
Laurie Conelly I understand what you just said. But your basically saying that the UN should force US to trade with Cuba? Why isn't Russia and China doing more trade with them since they don't like the US. I also know that the EU is now doing trade talks with them so they should be ok now.
Dragon Luffy Youre raising valid points. I dont know to be honest. I was just dissapointed in the analysis presented by this guy/organization. Time will tell.
Laurie Conelly He only allows himself two minutes and he talks slow so it is kind of hard to really go in depth on anything.
