What bait did the A/P hit on, a threadfin? Nice catch! We will be headed out to the elbow on June 1st for opening day of ARS and hopefully a pelagic or two.

One of the secrets being a diver I found out is while fishing around sharks that are trained, is if you own a shark shield deterrent device to tie it to the boat and put it down 5-10ft. if you can horse the fish the 15-20-ft protection zone of the shark shield they won't eat it. I won't go bottom fishing without it tied up to the back of the boat. curious if it work tarpon fishing
