this hurts. Last night I tried enhancing a Vaha's dawn to duo just to try out enhancing. I had a 57% chance and it failed like 7 times in a row. I don't think I'm going to enhance ever again
Enhancing my fallen god armors was the most miserable experience I had in BDO. I heavily recommend to just buy it to anyone whos thinking of making his own.
My meme practice is to always attempt near a blacksmith because what the heck does storage keeper know about improving gear? Nothing. Blacksmith works on gear all day. Maybe he sees me doing something wrong and says "Nah, do it like this" and BAM! Upgrade successful.
Then you might as well go all the way to the NPC that crafts your Blackstar and Fallen God. He's the best.

I've done 3 items to DUO - helmet, arm and gloves in one enhancing session, Every each of them needed 2-3 taps to DUO. Spent around 4-5 bil for all. But this... damn. So sad to watch.

I did this lol, took me 60-70 taps for my labreska to go duo
I was an absolute madman today and got Fallen God and Dahn both to DUO while enhancing. I would have gone through atleast 40 of those stones in retrospect I can't believe I did that. I'm getting Lebreska real soon, I'm just keeping it a PRI for a bit lol
Friendly reminder that Crio sells basic fishing rods that you can use at any level. Also this is why I trust in the no cron no animation meta, if you cron you dont skip but if you dont cron you skip
Funny thing is... took me like 5 attempts for duo then straight up one tap to tet lol
Here is the thing about enhancements. If you need the item to progress then use the biggest FS you are comfortable with. If you are just enhancing to sell then use the minimum amount. For me that is the caveat. I will use a 217FS to PEN bhegs if I need them to progress. I would rather spend time and silver intentionally failing in order to make a FSs versus failing on something I need.
46 attempts from base to DUO. 7.2 Bil spent. I don't even dream enhancing this to TET.
tri to pen is the easiest part cause by then you would just use cron, jhammer or buy off MP.
base to duo is the hardest part cause you would lose money if you use cron for duo and huge netloss if you buy duo from MP
its always better to enhance fallen god armors from base to duo.

I have played for 3 years and I have made approximately 354 PEN shots, I have failstaks over 200 and one over 300! and I still haven't gotten my first PEN… 🤡

Honestly enhancement needs reworking. I know it'd make some of the people who work so hard to get the stuff real mad but it really is a nightmare. Actual sadness shouldn't be an aspect of the game.
for every sad streamer there are dozens of real people who have real gambling addictions who really suffer and they don't ask for help

According to the Content Director at Pearl Abyss, it is so difficult so that when you do get it, it is a sense of accomplishment. No. No it does not, plus it becomes more difficult every year to sell more costumes from the cash shop. Create a problem and sell the solution which is worse than the problem.
That could be a good reasoning if we were talking about ACTUAL difficulty. But not this is just gambling and hoping RNG is on your side, no accomplishment there.
That enhancement system is the one thing preventing BDO from being the most popular MMO in the west. So many horror stories that discourage people from even trying the game (they don't know they don't have to interact with endgame enhancement at all if they don't want to)

Enhancing is what make not take this game seriously. I like the game, but I freaking hate their enhancing system. It definitely needs to be revised a little more in favor of the player.

Simple mat it doesn't matter how many times u fail before, u can fail 50 times but u still have 1/10 chance to success at new try. Every try unique itselfs. At rulet game u can see 30 times black in a row. Maybe u can think its impossible but every try unique and always 50/50 (red or black) this is how casinos get money.

Honestly fuck this game, surely there should be a pity system if you fail when you have like a 1000 percent chance of success or something, if you have a 99 percent chance of success there is a possibility that you will fail infinitely.
