@@PatTriesAgain the anime's been doing a pretty great job at adapting the manga. they'll expand a bit in the anime what's only a page or so on the manga too and it's well done and doesn't feel random or unnecessary 🥰
The ml in Gouda to Omega is so good looking 👀 I didn’t know it was by the same mangaka as Shoujo Kon 😮 Also didn’t know Shoujo Kon vol 3 released!! and I think I’m behind on both of these 😂
the artist for both series is soo good. i love their work! and it's nice for both series that the main couples don't really have much conflict with each other. for gokudo to omega, the conflict is around them but not between them. shojo kon is just them learning to communicate and be open with each other ugh love that 😍yess i checked the artist's twitter and saw the cover for vol 3 and ordered it XD
aren't they?? i only knew of these graphic lyrics books and what the covers looked like but didn't know what to expect when i opened them up. what a treat that these exist 🥰 butterfly is a beautiful song! very emotional and the book really helps convey that more 💜

i was looking back at to see which art books i hadn't talked about and this was all i could come up with LOL. seems i'm slacking too XD and i totally feel you on the hyped licenses being a letdown. hayaku shitai futari makes me so salty bc it turned out so bad lol. and nina the starry bride isn't as good as i thought it would be. like it's not terrible but also not much to write home to. idk maybe it gets better later? so yah crossing fingers for don't call it mystery. we'll find out soon enough 🤣 but ohhh yes i def recommend the 2 cupcake vols!
Being an autobiographical I was expecting blank canvas to be heavily about art and monologue style, before reading it. I should’ve have worried it would be monotonous because akiko higashimura sensei can never write one. Equal amounts of humor and gut wrenching moments, I remember crying and laughing alternately. Since you draw as well, i think you will relate even more🥹
ohhh that's really encouraging to hear! 👀 i really have no idea about the series except that it's about her art journey (i mean, yah...the title 😜) so the details are totally unknown to me. hoping i can get my vol 3 then so i can find out! i think i stopped on vol 10 or 11 of blue period but reading about that experience was very relatable to me so i enjoy these stories about people in the creative industry
Awesome big haul to start off the year. I totally get you on the spy x family rant. They did the exact same thing with bleach where the data books are much bigger than the individual manga volumes. It drives me as nuts as viz still not releasing the 3rd data book thats been out for well over a decade 😠. Anyhow hope you have a good new year.
they did?? ohh gosh viz doing all sorts of crazy things across their series 🥲 shojo beat also hasn't printed a vol 13 for another series (Daytime Shooting Star) which came out in Japan but still has yet to see the light of day here in the states. and that series isn't new...ugh.but if you'd like, you could sent a print request on their site! doesn't hurt to ask even if it ends up being in a pile of their emails lol

It's always so rage inducing when companies decide to drop a series with only a couple of volumes left. I can do that? I did not know I could send a print request on their website. I may just do that cause them still not doing it makes zero sense to me after all these years with the Anime coming back and even going as far as to translate the novels.
@@omegashenron8 who knows 🥲 and yahh idk what kind of agreements or terms these companies sign off on but it's wild when they don't get it all the way to the end. maybe contracts expire or something if it takes too long or doesn't yield a certain result. and yep! you can go to the viz media website > scroll to the bottom for "contact us" > select "series suggestion" in the drop down > put whatever haha. i know it says manga but *shrugs* 😅
