Back in March of 2014 I took our team to capture Iceland with Chris Burkard and several other incredible filmmakers. This film represents a small moment in time of those experiences and the things we learned.

All the cinematic shots were mostly filmed with the Red Dragon in 6K and exported out at 4K for CZcams.
The drone footage was captured with the Red Scarlet in 4K.

Five and a half years in the making! The longest project I've worked on and released yet. So glad it's finally released :) For me this is an extremely personal project where I show an inside look of what really goes on while filming some of our films. So much has happened since we've filmed this, and I would like to think I've grown so much more since taking on this project. I love what I do, so grateful for the people I get to work with and learn from every day. Filmmaking and CZcams have allowed me to travel the entire world, working with some of the most incredible people. I'll spend my entire life creating films, I love it. It's what drives me, inspires me. I'm so thankful for having all of you stick along for the journey. We are only getting started. - Devin

As someone who just recently decided to chase the dream of a movie director (not Hollywood style) this has to be the best CZcams video I have ever seen. I couldn't sleep at night and ended up finding this at around 4am and I do not regret it. I've watched your channel for a long time now, and it almost seems as if it all lead to this in a way. Words cannot describe this film. It seemed to go so fast as if it was only a preview of the complete film. I feel the grand tour has a similar style to this in their extended specials, but this was so much better than they could be. Great work, wishing one day to work with you guys, when I'm older
This is now my 2nd time watching this. The impact this time has brought me to tears. Videos like this inspire me not to go to Iceland but to work harder on my passions. Filmmaking is something I enjoy and wish to make a career out of. This video inspires me to not be so complacent. For something to be successful it takes hard work. Seeing what Team Super Tramp goes through to be successful in their own ways makes me want to take more risks to become successful in my own way. I don't know what my success is yet but Chasing Light depicts that journey I need to take to find my success. Thank you so much for creating the content that you all do. It's impactful and inspiring to more than you will ever know.

I was in Iceland 3 weeks ago and been to some of these locations and it was a short but amazing experience and loved it all, stayed in the middle of no where no light pollution,saw the northern lights, waterfalls, black sand beaches and amazing views that I couldn’t stop looking at and I’m definitely going back and still didn’t get to go up north to explore there. True gem
Your “here am I, send me” and “chasing light” projects have been absolutely incredible. Easily some of your best work. I really felt an emotional side on both of these projects. It surfaced feelings from myself, a viewer, can only get when the producer/cinematographer, you, really puts their heart and soul into a project. Thank you, incredible work.
I really don't have the words to describe how I felt watching you and the crew capture natures raw beauty, and pay the price while doing so. GREAT job all to involved, and I just wanted you to know that this film impacted me- a 1 year and a 1/2 student of short films, a rookie, in such a huge way. I have been in a little rut, and this inspires me to push forward and chase the light that is in front of me. I have to finish up some more topics in Parker's FtF course, and go out and practice more. Thank you kindly and deeply for all your hard work and inspiration. What the actual f- is this?! This film is pure beauty and filled with wonder. I have been following Team Supertramp on and off for a long time now and I never could have imagined that it would lead to productions like this one. I went to iceland for 8 days back in October of 2018. It was my first time out of the county and i went and practically did everything i could do from horseback riding, ice caving, waterfalls, hiking, northern lights, blue lagoon etc. it was so beautiful. I would definitely go out there and experience it again! I also almost broke my ankles at the church when i first got there lmao

When I was in high school about 5 years ago I was in awe of you work as I got into photography and cinematography through yearbook. I watched your videos religiously to gain inspiration and find ways to improve my craft. I went to college for something totally unrelated to visual arts and got out of it, but this definitely makes me want to add iceland to my travel list, as I get to still travel a lot and this was just so awesome, I can't imagine!

This was amazing. I went to Iceland in the summer but it’s even more magical in the winter. I can really recommend going to Spitsbergen as well. I went there last summer for a research project and I felt like I was at the end of the world. It’s so remote and wild and untouched by people, even more than Iceland.

Beautiful! Awesome documentary and cinematography from Iceland. It's amazing to see how much technology has changed in 5 years, this was not even in 4K (saw it too early for youtube, now it is) and I'm surprised to hear the drone guy saying he didn't find much aerial footage from Iceland, this is probably the most filmed and photographed country in the world for the past years, it feels now that you cannot be a travel CZcamsr if you haven't been to Iceland 😁 I loved it anyhow, took a long time in the making but here it is finally, glad to see Devin's real passion on this video and his style of filmmaking that made me wanted to be also making travel films 😊
