Note about FADING TWILIGHT: It is definitely workable, but since you already get the Fav Bow for free, unless you're strictly putting it on another character, the Fav Bow's utility is waaaay better compared to the Fading Twilight's. So if you can put the Fav Bow instead, that would be more recommended. But again, Fading Twilight is very serviceable.

The worst thing about Collei has to be her ascension materials. Those mushrooms are underground, way up in trees, or in zones gated by quests. So hard to find. :(

Yup, I got all the materials to 70 her but she's still at 59 because I'm short of mushrooms since I did the archon quests instead of do the quests that gives you access to more mushrooms

@@Sergmanny46 It's really nice to have a character breakdown with few biases, but also just letting you know "this character works best doing this " without it coming off really harsh or judgemental. Not to name names, but the first genshin creator i found was very harsh and I wound up screwing my account up because i focus on character he suggested rather than what I had available with my current resorces.Sevy really changed how i play and i can really play comfortably now

Using both is actually pretty lit since you can use one as a Dendro DPS with Spread as you can use both the new artifact sets, one to decrease DENDRO RES and one with the EM set
this is as big brain as using yelan and xingqiu together
Her elemental skill is much better, this is more important to me
Its wierd to see traveler be better than a character of the same element
It's worth mentioning that you can run away from your own boomerang as it is returning to make sure you hit all the enemies with it. Someone like Yelan or Sayu can run from it faster, so Collei's skill can have a bit more of a duration and range than you might expect!
Of the three dendro characters, she is by far my favorite to use in teams since she has great flexibility setting things up with her skill and burst, or a charged shot just in case.
I've been dashing with Yae Miko's E to do that! If you do it right you can have the boomerang hit in an arc in front, then circle around to hit mobs behind before circling again to catch up to you.
People need to understand that the way she applies dendro is very useful. The boomerang being able to pass through many enemies and get two reactions with no ICD is amazing. And it has range and you can run around to get extra hits with the return of the boomerang. And something like SAC BOW can make her super useful as an element applier.
Its about the boomerang, I use a gamblers set to get three rapid boomerangs since I only care about using them to apply dendro in my rotations.
She could be 10 times worse than Aloy as a unit and I would still triple crown her and give her my Elegy. She's goddamn precious and must be protected at all costs.

Why is no one pointing out how well her skill synergizes with Yelan's? You can make the boomerang chase you.
U can do that? I thought it only deals 2 instances of damage, one when thrown and one on the way back....
@@blueberryguy8666 You boomerang, it applies hydro and blooms, then the boomerang hits them on the way back and applies dendro again. If you have cons or sacrificial with yelan, you can spam it pretty hard.
It's funny how I've been doing this the whole time for fun while running around Sumeru in the archon quest, but never actually thought of doing it in combat. 😂

MOST AWAITED GUIDE 💜💜💜😭😭
One thing to note is DMC is backloaded Dendro while Collei is frontloaded. Depending on the team and gears, a frontloaded Dendro actually works better on certain cases. Such case is like of Sevy's adviced Sac Bow Collei (which I was already using ever since I got her a few days ago) in Xinqiu Hyperbloom and especially Burgeon.
Dendro, if teamed with Xinqiu, can generate alot of cores due to Xinqiu's own overwhelming amount of Hydro, however, he can also drown any Dendro Aura applied easily, even with Fridge. This means with DMC, the team can only generate cores once every 3 seconds from Q or once every E, which self-explanatory, is very low. However, with Sac Bow Collei, you can generate three times per E in a small timeframe regardless of whether it's the Dendro triggering the reaction, causing more cores to be Hyperbloomed/Burgeon within a shorter duration, despite being overwhelmed by Hydro.
In this team composition, you are likely using Sac Bow Collei as QS (Just doing E and Q, swap out) or as Semi On-field (E, Q, NA till boomerang returns then E again, swap out), so the source of Pyro/Electro most fittingly needs to be off-field, but here is where the two criticized Inazuma units come to play. Kuki and Thoma.
EM built Kuki has 2 major advantages on this comp. One is her EM build still grants her a decent amount of healing. Two is that with Xinqiu, you are sure to do Hyperbloom AND Electro-charge. The damage output is insane just from reactions alone.
EM build Thoma can do sporadic Burgeons and give two important things; a shield to guard from Burgeon self damage, and Interrupt Guard. And with Xinqiu Rainswords, even a low to mid amount HP Thoma shield will still be beefy enough to guard some attacks.
The 4th slot is flex. I would advice to use Yelan/Childe/Ayato as On-field Carry, Anemo to help with the grouping/triggering, or batteries/healers if necessary.
I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking this. I wonder why people are acting like Collei is actually inferior to Traveler.
Exactlyyy, that's why I'm deciding to build Dendro MC, not because Collei's weak, it's that she's best played on-field.
I have lots of on-field DPS so it's fitting for me to build Dendro MC, but I would love to build Collei in the future as well in the similar team comp your comment suggested.
I was wondering about this as well. My understanding is that at C0 two hits of boomerang is 2 dendro plus another 2 from floral rings. With c2 is 1 more dendro from floral ring and C6 adds 1 more dendro so overall c6 collei skill has 6 dendro per skill.

It's one from the floral ring unless you're C2, which brings it to an extra 2, but yes to the rest. I'll have to see how C6 affects Collei once I get the free copy.
What is "frontloaded" and "backloaded"? I am not that familiar with that terminology...
Just a correction, Alley Hunter doesn't have the same passive as Alley Flash, instead, you gain DMG when the character is off-field and loses it when they are on the field.

I love her boomerang bacause it actually tries to follow you. So I putted her in a team with Yelan, throw the boomerang, than I run trying to hit as many enemies as possible. It is its own minigame in a way.
I do that too
Collei can boost other's elemental mastery (EM) by up to 480, which is kind of crazy!
How it's done:
- Dendro resonance: +50 EM.
- Dendro reactions under dendro resonance: +30 to 50 EM.
- Collei's constellation 4: +60 EM.
- 4 piece Instructor set: +120 EM.
- Elegy for the End (R1 to R5): +100 to 200 EM.
If you play the dendro traveler, you can give him an R5 Sapwood Blade, which will provide an extra 120 EM to the selected unit. Total maximum EM boost from Collei and Dendro MC in this scenario would be extra 600 EM!
Even if you are an F2P player, she can still give your team up to 280 EM, which is great value. Plus she batteries the other dendro unit and can help apply more dendro. If you throw in the dendro traveler with the before mentioned blade (which is possible after farming weekly bosses for a while), you get an extra of 400 EM on you carry. Not bad at all!
Collei is not the strongest unit, but she can be a very useful one, even at C0 an an F2P playstyle.
But the most important thing by far is:
She's the cutest.

I'm building Collei slowly, she seems to be pretty useful and she is adorable!
I feel like a large amount of discussions regarding DMC and Collei seem to overlook her 15 second cooldown 60 cost burst versus DMC's 20 second cooldown 80 cost burst.
If you're running a 15 second rotation team comp using characters such as Yelan, Kuki, Venti, Fischl, Keqing, Kazuha etc. then Collei slots in pretty seamlessly as opposed to having to extend that rotation further with DMC. It's for that reason that I feel like she fits into quickswap "Soup" or are they called "Salad" teams now(?) with low burst cooldowns .
With the exception of Beidou, Yae and Raiden - I feel like she's more geared towards quickswap Aggravate teams or even *some* Hyperbloom teams with Hydro characters that have short burst cooldowns such as Yelan and Mona while DMC is more oriented towards those first three Electro characters.
And while I'm here, I can't help but feel like Venti or Kazuha might be one of Collei's stronger teammates in that he enables so many of these 15 second Quickswap teams. Slot in Collei, Venti/Kazuha and a combination of either Fischl, Ganyu, Mona, Rosaria or even Amber or Xinyan. Just cycle between all 4 characters' skills and bursts one after the other and let all of the reactions going off kill all of your enemies. It's the most ungabunga way to play and yet it's super satisfying. If you feel like you have to have a healer then Kuki works just fine but Mona carrying a Prototype Amber works in a pinch.
I'm not going to talk about leaks but just be on the lookout for future 15 second cooldown characters that have "fire and forget" skills and bursts and especially those that don't require too many normal or charged attacks to deal their damage. The power-duo of Venti and Collei can take you far if you give them the proper team support (and Fav or EM weapons!) to rain reactions on your enemies so have fun Travelers!

So collei is a better support than DMC for Yae miko? What if i want to put Yae, Tighanari and another slot for a dendro support, who is better Collei or DMC?
DMC gets energy back off his E hitting with his C1, E doesn't need to be waited for like the boomerang, mats and cons are free, burst lasts longer (75% uptime with C2), is larger, applies more dendro, even without further elemental modification.

Use DMC instead or if you're hellbent on using Yae and Collei together then use Yae's burst every other rotation.

Collei works really well with my hyperbloom team which consists of keqing, fischl, kokomi and ofc collei. It’s a lot of fun and since keqing attacks from close up, she makes great use of the sprout. I really like collei so far! :>

I haven't experimented with teams that much yet but a team Collei, Keqing, Fishl and Kazuha is the most fun I've had in the game in a very long time. It just synergizes so well.

I personally found it useful to use Burst first, and then skill (+ Sprout effect) once the burst ends. Spreading out her Dendro applications makes it feel a little more natural in some teams.
I feel that Collei's c2 needs an extra little emphasis: even if the boomerang returns before triggering any dendro reactions, you'll still get the extra 3 seconds since it says before the sprout ends. This means that you're almost guaranteed to get the full 6 seconds of sprout's duration, as long as you arent waiting for sprout to end before triggering reactions.
ALSO: She's such a good applier for Keqing yall... like really really good (and easy to use); Keqing's e initial cast is ranged so it's basically an instant sprout (and c2 proc). She can keep nearly 100% uptime on her infused electro attacks (with thundering fury's updated 4 piece, it's actually 100% uptime). By the time the quicken ends (even without sprout resetting quicken's timer), Collei's e is back up, and you just switch to collei, press e, and go back to Keqing electro infused left clicking.
My quicken rotation is this: Collei e -> Keqing e -> Keqing e recast -> NA spam until Keqing e is back up at which point you double cast Keqing e again -> as soon as quicken ends: go back to step one to reapply quicken
just got collei from quest, im maining her for now till i get jean, but idk, collei is very strong, and this really helped because now i am a true collei main.

I put her on a team with Kokomi, Raiden and Kazuha for world exploration and been really enjoying the way feed into each other’s damage, but that might just be the fact I love playing Raiden hypercarry. Personally I use collei with keqing because of the sprout effect as well as another dendro character, the way I see sprout effect is an application ring which is really nice for my keqing
You throw out boomerang, swap keqing, TP to enemy and by the time you're there either they'll be effected by dendro because of the boomerangs range or the sprout effect is in place.

I play collei in a team with Yoimiya, Xingqiu and Diona and let me tell you, the four of them together are simply incredible! I'm currently working to double crown my Collei because i love her so much 🥺💞
I usually pair her up with Tartaglia and a full EM Kuki for a hyperbloom team, her A1 Passive helps a lot with prolonged dendro application for Bloom, I feel as if Tartaglia isn't very forgiving with some rotations due to his E cooldown so I'm considering building either traveler or her focusing on damage for spread and aggravate with Kuki. My current party is Tartaglia/Dendro MC/Collei/Shinobu
Not gonna lie, hyperbloom is definitely one of the most fun ways to play Tartaglia IMO, even with the somewhat unforgiving cooldowns.

@@keneunaegbu851 Okay so, I play him with both Collei and Dendro MC for maximum dendro application, but do keep in mind that unless you're building a full EM Tartaglia (don't) or using Sapwood Blade on Dendro MC at R5, it's best to leave the bloom triggering for the dendro characters. Tartaglia applies Hydro way too fast and has the issue of long E cooldown but if you have a healer or 4th slotter who can do the job of keeping up dendro reactions or just damage going while Childe's E is down, it'll be fine.
Collei with her A1 can severely improve her dendro application with dendro units because Hydro doesn't take away all the dendro aura, so Tartaglia will usually trigger two blooms each hit of Collei's passive. Do keep in mind that Hyperbloom or Burgeon would be better since, without grouping, Bloom is kinda lackluster. You might also wanna use Kaeya with him for a fridge comp, but I personally advise against any bloom related comp without healers. Shielders are fine but I prefer healing.
My current rotation is the following:
Kuki E -> Collei E -> Tartaglia E, keep hitting until the blooms stop coming, swap out for your other characters.
- Tartaglia's burst is a good AoE Hydro application, use it before the dendro characters' abilities, unfortunately Tartaglia's personal damage in a team like this is okay at best. Remember: He's an enabler.
- If you have Collei's burst up, use it after her E, A4 really helps here. If you're doing a fridge comp, Rosaria might be better if you wanna keep the enemies inside Collei's burst, but Kaeya is more mobile. Technically you can use Ganyu but I don't think it's that worth sacrificing her monstruous DPS capabilities unless she is your Fridge driver.
- Dendro MC is a good pair if you wanna do pure blooms and no hyperbloom/burgeon, use the Sapwood Blade and pick up the leaves with Tartaglia so he can have a modicum of EM, it's really not worth changing his whole build just for bloom IMO unless you don't wanna use him anywhere else.
- Collei/Dendro MC/Any dendro char in the future you'll be using as a support for bloom SHOULD HAVE 4p Deepwood memories for the dendro res shred, it's the bread and butter of bloom variants.

What I really like about Dendro so far is that it's characters (so far) are heavily reliant on reactions to achieve peak efficiency.
I think in time and more constellations, ppl will come around her. I can already see her potential at C6, with Deepwood set and Sac bow. Which is why i recommend building her ATK% Sands, Dendro Goblet, and Crit chance Circlet. Build her EM, ER, and other needs with substats or other means... 🤔👍
I hate when other people say “she isn’t good” “don’t build her”. They act like she’s hasn’t already been through enough, let me build her in peace

Her energy recharge is insanely good and she does near constant AOE off field damage. You can plug her into just about any comp and she's fun to play.

Even if she may not be the best unit, she's still really fun to play as with her elemental skill, trying to angle yourself so that the boomerang his foes as it returns. Even with an R1 Sac bow, I've found that she procs its affect more often than not, so I'm able to use her skill again. Didn't know that the "sprout" effect also could proc sac bow though!
I've been using her with ayato, kuki, and whomever else for a hyperbloom team. She works much better than MC in this case. No sac bow even needed!
I think with constellations, collei is better in OW. No need to burst always to kill just few mobs and she applies more dendro with skill than traveler. Sprout effect that stays around you can let you apply dendro to enemies that move away , and charged shots being able to apply dendro can be useful.
I have been playing Collei Tarti Thoma and Kazu chaos team. While it might not be the most efficient thing ever is fun and it works with Collei icds (just rember to manage Childe own cd ).

I got excited when I got the chance to get this character. I haven't read the manga, I just wanted a Dendro archer. I'm terrible at pulling 5-stars. I "finally" got a Venti yesterday. If you know how long Genshin's been around, let that sink in!
But, thanks to this cutie, I have all seven elements on Archers! :)

Oh I'm having fun building both Collei and dendro traveler (minus the mushroom farming). But she's still "Dendro Amber" because Amber is essentially the Pikachu of the series with each region getting its own electric rodent: Ganyu is regional ice type, fully evolved, with heavy damage but otherwise the same kit, Yoimiya is another spunky fire Inazuma Amber but is pew pew, and Collei is Sumeru grass Amber that also has a more supportive kit, and even is inspired by her.
I know damn well that I'm not gonna be able to do half the shit you're talking about but I still love to listen to you talk :)

My lvl 60 Collei hit 6k once with her Skill and I am impressed
Also she's just cute so I'm gonna use her anyway 💞
I got a soft spot for this one as she is a cinnamon tost the voice bis like sucros and she looks like green human ganyu.

An advantage Collei has over Dendro MC, is that her AOE that can apply dendro is bigger.
In situations where the enemy is all around you, and/or is not grouped close together, she will probably apply more dendro overall, than Dendro MC.
Despite what negative people say about her, I still want to build her. She's adorable. Its good to have two Dendro characters like her and Dendro traveler alongside for now. Thanks for the video.
I was aiming to get C1 Zhongli for Mil buff 24/7 and some Fischl cons, I got them + Collei's c4s as well. So far I like her way more as a Dendro Aura Bot than DMC due some facts:
The focus atm is Quicken+Aggravate just by using her skill can keep dendro aura 24/7.
Got the Instructors's cheap build with a 5* ER sands since I still have to farm Emblem for other chars= ER>W/E has a lot of ER>CRate if Fav Bow.
Her skill just cost 60 (DMC 80) that with an electro battery could get full fast quite often.
Her burst gives 60em to all(except her) instantly, for DMC you have to wait 5 seconds at c4 or 10 previous that to get it fully, it last 12 seconds.
She doesn't do reactions with Aggravate(that is worthy of dmg) so aim EM that badly on artifacts is like meh for her atm.
Fischl+Keq/Raiden as drivers also give a lot of particles.

Any hero is good with solid builds. My Amber uses EM sands, 300 EM, 80-150 crit/dmg, 46% pyro - at level 70 character and weapon, she does 10k Charged Shots at level 1 auto attack.
Can't wait to see her max build.
I'm building her whether I use her in abyss or not, she is perfect for exploring Sumeru. I am leaning towards an Abyss team of DMC, Kokomi, Collei, and Kuki.
I have a C4 collei and Sacrificial bow. I have no choice but to use her. And she is adorable.
One thing I don’t like about her is the animation of her elemental skill. If the enemy gets a really fast attack, doom

There are also two sides to the Abyss and I'm sure both are going to want Dendro so you can use Dendro Traveller on one side and Collei on the other.
at least she's not going to be as hard to c6 like amber, even if people call her dendro amber
the miniature culein-anbar might give that small push to get enough dendro application with sacrificial bow
I don't care if she is a meta unit or not, I'm building her. 5 stars weapon or whatever artifact she need I'm farming them. That's how much I like this character.

I've been away from Genshin for a while now. Glad Sumeru is here, I just got Collei as my only dendro aside from traveler. Got the 5 star of current banner but its ELECTRO? I was looking forward on how my favorite character, Kequing!
