This song was always been a little forgettable for me, at least compared to the other songs in the movie. My main draw to it has always been the duet version between sci-twi and sunset which i think is awesome and you should totally listen to it if you haven't.
I've relistened to the solo version recently and I think it's really good, even a little underrated, but I honestly get why it's not talked about. It's a little boring which is a shame the bridge is so good in my opinion.
I do feel as though the first two choruses are kinda weak and that's probably because they cut out all of Sunset's part of the song and a whole other section, so it's in this weird place where it feels too long and too short at the same time. smh
I wanted to go for the short but still triumphent vibe that I think 'Midnight In Me' has. That song is the perfect definition of the phrase "sometimes less is more"
So I basically cut the first two choruses and had the first and second verse lead up to the bridge and final chorus.
It's a lot simpler than it sounds.
oh and i also added a bit of reverb.
It's not perfect and I cut like 30-40 seconds of the song but I hope you like it anyway-
