    I love that Meg talked about the perspective/experience of someone finding this game because they love the comic, not because they are a serious gamer. It must be hard to design a game that is going to please both audiences.

    Wow this popped up literally a second after the notification I didn't even have to scroll down the Kickstarter page to find it ☺️. Love love love this comic

    I love this comic and board games. Don’t think I can pass on this. Game actually looks good

    I feel like you’ll enjoy this more at 3. Hester seems to get in the way and disrupt plans

    I’m so confused about this game. It’s marketed as a 1 v 1, 2 player game, but you can’t even get past the tutorial missions without a third player? Also don’t you lose a bunch of replay value with only being able ti choose two factions in the 2 player game?

  • @ScytheNoire

    I find it weird to start as a two player game, and then require a third player half way through the storyline.

      I am also wondering about that! What do you say, hey friend we need you to play a round of our game so we can experience it fully even though you haven’t been a part of any of it?

      @@Listan1 The concept is that everyone should be familiar with the 2 player game before playing a 3 player game. One cool thing to note - if/when we unlock the solo mode - you play as Hester...so that will give a player an opportunity to practice playing as Hester before getting that third player involved.

    please give this one a shot with chapter 3+ and we need to hear rating from You :)

    Is this the type of game that you play fully (all sides of it) and then really don’t come back to? Is it an experience or a game like Root with lots of replayability?

    • @OffThePageGames
      @OffThePageGames Před rokem +6

      I'll chime in and say that it's not really a campaign game. There's no memory from one game to the next. The first couple chapters are just to ease you into the experience. Once you get to chapter 3 and 4 - you can play that forever and there are so many Legends to play as, that the replay is through the roof!

      @@OffThePageGames Okay great! Thanks for the response! The art and production looks better than fabulous and I’m so intrigued by the game idea. Looking forward to learning more about the gameplay through checking out more videos. I play 2 players 90% of the time. :)

    Meg said the third character (Kammi?) was bad as in not good rather than bad-ass right? Maybe she is a handicap for more experienced players?

      Sorry, she's evil in the comics, nothing to do with how she plays! :) I didn't play with her

    I sincerely believe that more previews should be talking about the later parts of the game. I saw a presentation about the 1st chapter and found it boring. Then, i visited the Kickstarter page and saw Hester and Kammi and from their components and a few cards they show on the page, i realized that the game becomes more interesting after the 1st chapter and that i shouldn't write it off. But that's the thing, i almost DID write it off because the first chapter is (for me) simplistic and boring. Since this isn't a campaign game with story spoilers, why not showcase the full spectrum of what your game has to offer ? I don't understand.

    • @OffThePageGames
      @OffThePageGames Před rokem +1

      It's a great question and something I try to balance. There's also the audience of new gamers, or comic book fans that don't play many games and I wanted to ease them into the complexities of the later chapters. The great news is that if you are an experienced gamer, you might be able to start at Chapter 3 right off the bat. For MIND MGMT, we had a training mission that was also very simple, but gave people the core experience of the game and the majority of people really loved having that ease them into the more complicated full game!

      @@OffThePageGames Thank you for the reply ! Please don't get me wrong, i think that having an introductory chapter/scenario or two in a game is perfectly ok and makes sense ! I was only referring to the kickstarter preview videos. I've watched 3 by now and they all talk about the starting chapter mostly, while only mentioning what happens after chapter 3 in passing. I understand not wanting to show all the surprises you have in store, but at least a couple of examples to show how the game evolves and/or how additional rules integrate themselves to the starting game to make it more intricate or something like that.

      @@OffThePageGames That certainly helps ! I am partly to blame here since instead of carefully looking over the entire Kickstarter page, i just watched videos about the game from channels i am subscribed to and it just so happened that all three were the 1st chapter so i didn't bother to watch more videos. I am subbed to Rahdo's channel but in my defense Kimberly didn't include chapter 3 in the title so i thought it was exactly the same as the others i watched. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction !
