- Here I am going over how to install a relay on your push button start and why I am doing this. This is being done on a Third Gen (82-92) Camaro but the process is the same for almost all vehicles. I will have these tools as well as many others that I suggest linked below in the TOOLS and TOOLS CONT Link if you are interested.

Hello again Tony
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 As you were demonstrating the push button. A question came to mind. How do you keep your car from being stolen? I don't want that to happen to you, especially since you have put in a lot work and money into this!!!! Just food for thought, again thank you 😊
Thank you. You still need the car to start it. The key turns on the fuel pump. So just pushing the button won't start the car. 👍
@@TonyTheTechnician Thank you I didn't see that before.
Tgsnk you I'm keep its close to me and use your udea thank you.😊
On the relay that came with mine the white wire is looped into 30 and 85 is it supposed to be that way?, mine is similar to yours just that its only one switch on it and the start button on the panel of it. Any help or advice would be helpful and also how did you get the wires to run into the car? I have an 89 camaro
Good Video but why do you need both a toggle and a push button switch? So do you need two switches? Thanks
The toggle prevents the push button from activating. So if someone pushes on accident it doesn't do anything while the car is running
I have a 91 Camaro and I have the same switch I have it all ran with inline 30 am fuses as well and I got it wired in the car the same but I don’t get anything out of my injectors any help?
Key still has to be on for the fuel pump. The switch panel is only wired to run the starter
Hi Tony.my name is Hank. Thanks for your response about both tne switch and the button. I just was wondering if you use the starter relay what do you you do with the starter relay in the vehicle. Do you just remove the starter relay in the fuse box and use the free relay? Thanks
Ya I ran all new wiring for my starter. You can use the existing relay though, you just have to figure out where to tap into it
Unrelated… and a long shot, but… Ive just been getting into fixing my cars and Im having a lot of fun learning. Its a little difficult without anyone knowledgeable around to answer questions. I have a Ram 1500 2012 that is my daily driver. I would love to take my truck to someone who has worked on these before and could possibly answer some of my questions and give me some tips on what issues to watch out for at 100k+ miles.
Ill be leaving in a few weeks to travel around the country for a while. I plan to first head towards Florida (from NJ) so if anyone along the route that could help me would be awesome. I promise not to take up too much time and I am willing to throw some $ their way.
thie is for NEGATVE(-) CONTROL?
Are you available I have a question if at possible to get some help?
What's up.
@TonyTheTechnician I put a push button start in it does work but it sometimes just clicks the starter 3 or 4 times before it starts. Never did that before. Now the relay I'm using is old one I had sitting around could that be causing it?
nice, i always wanted to do this, how much was the kit?
oh shit dude, check out the ipad that replaces the radio kit also, cool thing is you can take the ipad with you too
I bought everything individually but it probably costs around 50 for everything. And the I pad is cool but I already have 2 monitors in my car I don't think I need another lol. But that would be cool
@@TonyTheTechnician wait what two monitors? i wanna see! lol
@@tequilandtacos lol I have them over top of my old guages. I mounted a 7 inch GPS in the dash for a speedometer. Then I have my small monitor for my fitech information and tuning
@@TonyTheTechnician why dont you just fuckin a deep fryer in the sum of bench then dude lol
@@TonyTheTechnician i wonder who just thumbs up their own comment ?
