- Its been 15 years thus far and, somehow, Poking at the Stiff has never made its way online yet. This is a short documentary about the making of The Hellacopters' last original album Rock & Roll is Dead. On the first CD release of the album this movie was included but never got released in the USA as far as I know. Re-discovered after all these years and I hope fans enjoy it.
Man, Strings reaction to the Before The Fall solos was so cool, this world lost a trully gem.
A very special band - that era 99-2008 were absolutely magical , so many great songs

Damn, that was awesome! Never heard of this movie before. Hellacopters have just finished a tour here in Brazil three days ago and I was looking for some footage of the concerts and found this doc. Bought the R n' R is Dead CD when it was released in 2005, but the Brazilian edition also didn't have this movie. Great stuff! I really dig this album, specially the sonic aspect of it - less overdriven and more subtle than the previous albums and somehow a first glimpse of what Imperial State Electric would become. Thanx a whole bunch uploader.
to my ears, it's the most complete and best sounding album they recorded!

Loves me some Copters...RnR is Dead shudda been their breakthrough album & a massive hit it had so many catchy hooks but still maintaining that hard driving guitar sound they were known for just goes to show ya that the record buying public doesnt know their ass from a whole in the ground when it comes to real RnR.

Swedish band TenderBeat just loves Hellacopters because we are from Vårberg, like Nicke and Kenny. The other rockstar from Vårberg except Hellacopters and TenderBeat is the singer Zinzan from Easy Action, the legendary glamrockband in the 80s.
