I made one thanks I even put a magnet snap on mine .I sewed the straps and flap on before I added the lining made it a little easier for me . Just love it .

Brilliant! I had a surgery that prevents me from lifting more than 15 pounds and I have really had to trim down what I carry. Also this would be so much more comfortable to wear than a traditional “fanny pack” that you would have to strap all the way around you.

Toni Nelson That‘s exactly what I use mine for 😉 I made the lining out of waxed tissue, to be able to clean the residues from the treats more easily. The next one, I would make that the inside is devided in two separate parts, otherwise the treats will stick to the phone...

Love this little bag! Just what I was looking for to carry my cell phone around in so I am not always searching for it. I was wondering how big do you cut the little straps for the hooks?
My guess is that this cut them to fit the hooks that you get/ have width-ways and the length to preference. Is estimate that the final loops are between 5-10cm long, maybe 8cm(?), so double that plus seam allowance for the length, and then 2.5-3 times the width of your hooks so you can fold in and finish them nicely. I'd probably put interacting in them too, too give them extra strength, and maybe interface the lining as well for the same reason...

Love the video but what is interfacing?
Interfacing makes your fabric sturdier. It can be sewn in, ironed in (fusible) or just placed in depending on the project, fabric n what you want. It comes in very light weight to very stiff n sturdy. It adds integrity to your project. Look up videos on you tube on interfacing. It comes in many many types n weights.

They look double the height of the side of pouch and folded through the clips plus your sew seam width is 4x width of clip opening usually. Sometimes 3x depends on you I guess
Hi, Darlene! This is my doubt too. I would make strips measuring 6cm x 13cm. The finished strips would measure approximately 1.5cm x 6cm (in the metal ring).

it would be very helpful if you stated everything that we need and you don't and the sizes of everything we are left to wonder about the straps not cool if your going to do a video you need to put all the dimensions in not just half
Am I the only one bothered by the obvious unintended creases on the front of the finished bag? There are 2 under the fold over front piece so no one would see it, but still... Also, hot glue? Painted fabric? When you were out buying this fabric, why not just get a pretty print instead? Then, while sewing, attach a magnetic closure (it's super easy). Velcro will weaken both the glue and fabric with use.
Wow Robin you must be a perfectionist cause I didn't notice them until you brought it to my attention. I think she could have avoided them if she ironed before stitching the final go around ?:)?
Debra Ressel - I guess I'm a bit of a perfectionist but not always critical of other people's efforts. We all do things differently in the best we know how. However, in an instructional video, I guess I just expect things to be done right so others can learn a proper method. Then, that viewer can take that project and do their best with it. You're right, ironing should have made a sharp edge so puckering wouldn't occur. There are a few things that could have happened there to cause that.
Definitely should've avoid the hot glue. I feel that if a viewer is not experienced they will be sorely disappointed in their item when the glue breaks down from use and rips off or wears the fabric from pulling the Velcro. It may stop them from making other projects when something they made by hand breaks down. It inhibits creativity. Anyway, just sayin'...
I hear you Robin and I meant no disrespect by my comment about being perfect. The glue thing (no comment Lol) I look at the fact that people are very creative and appreciate the fact they put it out there for all to make it there own. Now if I paid for that it would be a different story. I consider myself a confident beginner and learn by mistakes. Maybe she didn't see the puckers either, like i said i didn't notice till you pointed it out. Haha. Thanks for not getting upset at my comment cause it must be hard just making a video and getting all the feedback. I'm going to make her little bag. Good lord it will be a mess but I will love it all the same 💟
