As Indonesian who live close to the beach and been watching hundred of thousands videos about flora n fauna in the world and Indonesia itself. I kind of surprised cuz I haven't seen this farm yet on the internet yey. Although I've seen lots of the process of farming coral in Indonesia but this farm. Awesome video.

Kalau sudah punya perijinan ekspor mereka sendiri yg langsung ekspor ke LN, atau kalau blm ada perijinan ekspor bisa juga melalui retailer di indo yg punya ijin ekspor, jd mereka cuma mengurus bagian ternak aja. Mereka ini yg ngangkat nilai ekspor di Indonesia.

Which is understandable since it's hard to differentiate whether corals are harvested from 'sustainable' farm or 'poached' directly from the sea. Then the following minister, Edhy Prabowo, reversed the ban.... You know where he is now? HE'S IN JAIL. Corruption and all 🤣

It is most cost effective to grow coral if you live right next to the reef where it grows naturally. 🙂👍

@@PazLeBon You can use the salt water from that ocean, making costs of water changes way cheaper than mixing it up yourself. Also, there is something called artificial reefs that are basically concrete structures put into the water near real reefs so that coral will grow on them. Stealing from the ocean? I did not know the ocean was a person; that is news to me.
Also, coral food or seafood in general is cheaper when you live close to the ocean. There are other reasons why it is more cost effective to grow coral near the actual reefs where they come from. From a different perspective, growing most things in outer space will have astronomical costs.

It is nice to see you expanding your channel, educating people on keeping water creatures responsibly, and giving recognition for local business but it would be nice to keep the location of the coral farm a secret so irresponsible fishtubers (I'm not saying names here but if you've been watching fish channels on youtube, you'll know who they are) wouldn't be barging their way here and do something stupid that might damage the corals and water creatures just for some content. Keep up the good work!
I once worked at a marine aquarium shop in Jakarta, and my boss used to buy fish and coral from Bali. Bali is without a doubt the best place for marine aquariums. Indeed there are many other places that offer the same fish and coral, but most of them also get their stock from Bali.
A cool part of coral is that you get to see them in their U.V. neon glory if you dive during the day, and get a nasty underwater sunburn if you don't cover up!

To think that every one of those acropora colonies go for between $30 and 50$ from indo. It makes you wonder why we sometimes pay $150+ for a frag. Those HE blastos go for 60 -100 for the entire colony. Shipping is pricey. Usually more than the cost of coral itself. Either retailers are so bad at keeping corals we are forced to eat the cost of their dead corals, too many men in the middle, or we are just getting ripped off. I just got my license to import. Farm almost complete. Will be changing the game soon.
