  • This is an in-depth look at the air Jordan 1 shadow 2017 review. First and foremost I’d like to thank @snkrluvr83 for providing me with the latest fake /replicated version of the shoe. They had 3 to 4!years to get it right and it’s still not! 😂😂😂. I’ll waive a link to his channel and his video on the explanation of fake shoes and the term UA doesn’t exist. This video is for educational purposes only. #realvsfake #sneakerhead #airjordan

    I could like this video one thousand times, I would. Bro! This is an ongoing discussion in some sectors of the "sneaker community" on CZcams. You have advocated for both retail and replicas who argue for their position as to why their perspective is the better perspective of the two. I don't believe in replicas for myself personally, but I do understand those who go that route to save money or desire a nearly unobtainable product from the retailers.
    They claim it's resellers who cause them to do that but that makes no sense when there are a lot of "UA supporters" who will actually buy them in bulk to flip to the unknowingly simple-minded masses. This is a discussion for another day. My comment is almost as long as this video, LOL! Great work as always bro. Salutes!

      Nike could kill the resell and replica game with pre-orders. 1 per account, let the fools buy a lot of pairs on multiple accts but they will be stuck holding them cause if you had a day to pre-order the size you want there would be no reason to buy from a reseller

    Yeah I definitely get where you're coming from with the hole and authorized argument, but do me a favor and get one thing straight, Jordan does not have a factory labeled the Jordan factory. They split up their production among independent factories in China usually A and B factories, Which is why there are production differences between large general releases because there's 2 different factories making them. On top of that you have another factory in China that makes a particular material used for the shoes and Jordan will put in the order for those materials in said colors for those factories they contract to make the shoes to use under their jurisdiction for the production run. At the same time of those productions happening or shortly after is when the other factories have better access to the exact materials that the factories that were producing the authentics were using. This is why in my experience unauthorized if you want to call them but more accurately replica shoes, Have identical materials when they come out in unison with the general releases that have a large production run. It's so much easier to get the material of the authentic at that time. If Jordan doesn't have any secret sauce or their own God damn factory let's get that straight. So it's not entirely unthinkable that during large production numbers another factory down the road copies exactly what they're doing. Respect what you're doing for the community, and if you buy genuine sometimes like I do then you really are kind of in the middle between buying authentic when possible and replica when im not paying $600 for a pair of jordan 1s. Your opinion is mostly correct but I know you have those bred 4s a couple of years ago, And you can attest those were the same material as the authentic. As can I because I have the authentic and replica in hand at the time and it was astonishing. To backup that claim, you recently received the newest batch of the bred 4s, and they were nowhere near the quality or material of your reps in 2019. You use this to substantiate your claim they merely try to make due with what they have, which is true years AFTER production of a GR shoe. But like I said, when production is going on of a shoe they are making hundreds of thousands of pairs of in multiple factories they are subcontracting out to, they will most likely make a 1 for 1 material and all rep of the authentic shoe.
    Hopefully this shed some light and can help you expand your knowledge of the replica shoes, As I am not arguing these facts due to my hubris or to justify my purchases, just trying to help.
    At the end of the day, they could be made at at actual same factory and even then unless its authorized production under jordans command, they would be fake shoes. Hope this helps all who read!

    • @JacobMarcellus
      @JacobMarcellus  Před 2 lety +1

      I get what you’re saying but I’m completely aware what goes on in China and I know Nike or Jordan brand doesn’t have a factory in China that says Jordan 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ . I’m not sure how you came to that conclusion from what I said in my videos . Nike doesn’t have factories but they do have long time exclusive partnerships with factories . Nike isn’t scrambling around looking for factories to make their products and surely the counterfeits aren’t being made in the same factories so let’s get that out of the way. As for materials they get close but never exactly the same. My bred 4s were close but they were under scaled. They hurt my feet among other things that didn’t compare to the retails. I don’t buy the term unauthorized authentic because there’s nothing authentic about counterfeit goods and the stealing of intellectual property. Thanks for commenting and I appreciate your take on things.

    • @jd88gtr19
      @jd88gtr19 Před 2 lety +1

      @@JacobMarcellus Hey man I get where you're coming from and just to be clear i should have specified, i didnt think you thought jordan has its own factory, i just wanted you to clear that up as thats the impression many have, i could have worded that better. Also, like I said above I never said or believe they come from the same factory nor do I think they are authentic. What i said was: Even IF they did come from the same factory BUT Jordan brand did not exclusively authorize the production of said shoes they still would not be authentic. That's just a devil's advocate scenario.
      My point is since Jordan has no secret sauce and outsource work, the people who run the factories jordan uses, typically know people at other factories down the road, lets not be fooled here. And this make info about production of general relase shoes real accessible.
      At the end of the day my point was, When you get the shoes closer to the release date of a largely manufactured general release, they typically have a higher chance of gaining access to the same materials as Jordan is outsourcing materials from a different factory than the one they outsource the construction to. This many moving parts makes it easy to copy the GR shoes. That is at least my current understanding, And if you have some inside scoop on Jordan manufacturing facilities in China that debunk this theory, then I would love to hear it. But in my experience the further away you get from a production run of a largely produced general release, the less accurate the replicas are every time. There has to be a reason for this. Also, the scale issue is not a materials issue, it's a size mold issue, and your feet hurt because they were probably a half size or more small, because they're reps and often undersize by that much. I did not have a comfort issue since i sized up knowing this. Having compared my 2019 rep and retail breds, there weren't any discrepancies in actual material, however. This could be my bias in effect warping my perspective, but it also could be your bias in effect as well. Just like how you were quick to call out the J looking like an I on the wings on the replica and then not saying anything when you saw it was the same on the authentic.
      What I do know is From my human eyes to this conversation, what I observed was the same materials. I also observed different scale proportions, so I think we are both right.
      Hopefully that clears up my position. I've been burned by Jordan and resale too much, so my personal reasons are all my own and I implore anybody to buy retail or resale if it's what your heart tells you to do. To be clear once more, I am not saying that these shoes touted as an unauthorized are authentic.
      *Side note, you should compare Better shadows, as the reps you have are not 1:1, and ive seen 1:1 materials in bred and royal 1s previously. These aren't a solid example, just IMO. Good vid nonetheless, The theme of the vid that UA are not really UA is a point that needs to be known. However most people seem to understand this, by virtue of having different "batches" and sellers, how could they be actual Unauthorized authentic? That doesn't make sense.

      Don’t kid yourself bro 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ they’re definitely not 99.9 percent accurate😂😂😂. How would you know if you were unable to cop a legit pair and really compare them? I am able to do both i can say that they’re not. Theres some that get close like the bred 11 but the rest dint make the cut.

    This Video here is dangerously misinformed. If snkurluvr really paid top dollar for that rep or w/e he deffo got bait and switched(i know this from experience myself), some sellers will claim to have top tier reps and will give you a lower tier batch mostly cause they cant source it or oos. This is why i stopped dealing with some of these random ass sellers because at the end of the day China man is greedy and some will sell you dogshit just to make max profit. Top tier reps of these are so close that you using this as a way to "legit check" is gonna get alot of people busted over the head by a scammer who selling them a top tier rep as retail cause alot of the flaws you mentioned here are non existent on the top tiers.

      My friend paid top dollar for them and they definitely weren’t from DHgate. They probably look worse because it’s being compared to a legit shoe. I bet if I did a stand alone video with only the fake most would say "that’s a nice rep where did u get it? "🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

    Dude. This. Holy shit. The only fakes worth getting are the high tier batches which cost like 200 and even then you might as well go resale close to the release date. Thank you.
