on 11/17/2022 At the Paramount theatre Austin, TX. I had the honor to listen to Joe answering my questions:
1-Why does he use pitch axis alot
(Satch boogie, not of this earth, enigmatic)
2-why does he mix old and new songs like
    Circles/enegmatic (2006 live)
    Memories/power cosmic (1987 limelight live)
3-is he often inspired by new music theory to create a concept for a song, or a new idea inspires search for new music composition?
4- How does his music evolve and improve over time

There are so many bands/musicians/artists now, when the Beatles and Rolling Stones where the latest things on the Radio, 60s /70s ,,,there was an open road to music, Now they have to come up with a way to NOT sound like someone else.

I write the music I write for me, not for anyone else. No one ever hears my music. Nobody will probably ever hear my music. If someone hears it, they probably won't like it. I'm fine with that. I write for me, not to get famous or make money.
I've learned a lot from the likes of Satriani, Malmsteen and Vai about playing and writing. I thank them for that.

      I do the same. FMBM.
I've played it for people, they probably don't like it. That's ok. That's what it's all about.

There is an audience for your music,,,,,YOU,,,, just have to find it . THATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FAMOUS and the not so famous.

    Pitch AXIS.
Using a particular pitch as an axis to change modes/keys.

writing music, getting great tones and sounds in live or studio recordings is very complex. Wanted to share this to show what happens behind the scenes with Joe.

@@JuanReyes-ht1bd Jimmy was always in time. At the end of the day - the sense for rhythm was always there. And nobody has something against a guitar slightly out of tune. To shoot against Satriani because of that is inappropriate.

@@crouchjump5787 Not shooting on Joe. Love his playing and music. All I’m saying is that Jimi had his own sense of time. The metronome would either speed up or down which makes sense as a lot of his rhythm playing did that, and yes, we didn’t mind that he would be slightly out of tune because he is Jimi. Jimi is one of Joe’s influences which is why I was surprised that he would say this? In any case, I may have misunderstood what he was saying here ✌️😂
