Im learning OCaml right now. I am not a programmer. Thats how deep this rabbit hole goes 🕳️🐇
Programming languages are one of the best things to learn, even if you are not a 'coder' by profession.
I'm keeping an eye on Zig. It looks very nice.
Try it out some. It's fun.
Ziggers rise up
it's called Ziguanas
Thanks for the video! I'm hoping to see an update on Rio soon. 😊
I'm actually so distracted that I've been working on a game in Godot recently. Also took a trip to Europe with my wife between the last two videos. But I do need to get back to Rio.
@@contextfree That's understandeable; it's really difficult to keep working on such a complex project for a long period of time.🙂 I'd also love to see a gamedev log - it would be an opportunity to showcase GDScript.
I'm considering a video on the differences between Python and GDScript. People say "it's like Python", but it's different from Python in so many ways. I'm also considering a separate video just for fun making a bit of a tutorial on how I used some gdscript and some shaders to do some interactive painting.
Would love to hear your thoughts on hare lang.
My bad. I really should have mentioned it, but I keep forgetting about it. It's a nice contender for the C space, though of course with its own pros and cons. I like that it's small and focused. I wish they cared about Windows. That's my really quick take, but I should dig into it more and give it some coverage sometime.
what are your thoughts on Hylo/Val by Adobe ?
I've looked at it some. Saw the name change recently, too. I like the description, but the details are more complicated at a glance than I'd hope from the description. I missed that it had Adobe support. I should try it out sometime.
Its sad to see Scala spiraling, it had great potential.
It still has active development and a lot of users. Just not as much of the pie share as it used to have. And sometimes surprises happen. But I suspect that Kotlin had an impact in Scala losing some pie share, even if they aren't the same thing.
Just because it's popular doesn't mean it's good

One of his most popular quotes :p
Why there's no C#?
It's in the top 10. See part 1. C# is doing well! czcams.com/video/Tu4bGoOJmPM/video.html
Oh nice, GDScript is up 16 points! Unity’s folly is Godot’s boon.
Yeah, in the end, I think Unity didn't directly lose too many users because of the quick turnaround, but Godot still got a big boost of money and attention, anyway. I expect Godot usage to continue to become more mainstream, and I'm all for it.
That was one of the best things to happen to Godot. Although a bit unfortunate that it happened during the transition from 3.x to 4.x (as 4.x was (and still is) pretty new and has it rough edges). But waiting for Godot is on theme ;p
Why there's no Rust over there?
Rust on 11th
Too mainstream 😂
And I like it.
