For future reference if you are trying to drill a hole and need to centre it, get a bolt that will screw into the thread of the stud hole( in this case). Centre punch it and drill it with a 2-3 mm drill in the vice to get it perfectly centre then screw it into the hole your trying to drill into use the 2-3mm drill to start and importantly centre the hole.
I’m a retired aircraft maintenance engineer and if I had a dollar for every bolt n screw I’ve drilled out I’d be richer than Elon Musk. We used make centring bushes on a lathe that fitted into the hole by a few mm and were about 20-30mm long. You just put the small section in the hole and rest sat flush on the outside and was tall enough that the drill bit was keep straight and centred.

Forgive me if I’m wrong but I did notice your fan spinning quite freely when you first started it to look for the squeel when you shut it down it looked to spin freely but I guess your mechanic would have picked that up and for those sockets they do come in handy to stop you rounding off bolts or nuts because they are a perfect fit compared to normal sockets. Would have replaced all of exhaust bolts and studs for future but it’s good to see you got it going again 👍👍

Aftermarket straight 6 exhaust manifolds almost always have problems since the quality of the metal used and the research and development falls far short of OEM resourcing.
Sometimes elongating the slots/drilling out the holes in the manifold where the studs/bolts intersect the manifold solves the "snapping stud" problem since the elongated hole now allows more movement by the manifold which "slides" past the stud...
rather than bending it, and bending it, and.....every heat cycle... when the edge of the hole in the manifold stops the expansion by levering against the stud.
Sometimes OEM also make the same mistake...with alloy heads having a different rate of expansion to the exhaust manifold
