So fun! Everything you described about the "Bobo" movement, especially the financial points, really make me chuckle. I am 77 and in my early 20s I lived in Haight Ashbury, San Francisco. We had very little money, or none at all, we ate organic though food had not acquired the label "organic" yet. We grew our own food, we made our own clothes. Yes I was a hippie and I loved the philosophy, lifestyle and general ambiance of love (not sexual) and sharing. Hitch-hiking was safe, and fun and a great way to meet interesting people. Criticism and negative judging were not a part of the culture. I have very fond memories and my daughter, Beth, was born during my hippie period in Haight Ashbury. Just writing this comment evokes the wonderful feelings from that season of my life.

Il existe en fait un mot anglais pour décrire les personnes qui possèdent les qualités que tu as mentionnées dans cette vidéo. Il s'agit du terme "bougie". Ce qui est amusant, c'est que cette vidéo m'a permis de faire le lien et m'a appris d'où venait ce mot. Il est dérivé du mot "bourgeois", qui signifie classe moyenne ou supérieure. Aujourd'hui, le terme "bougie" a été adopté par les jeunes pour signifier que quelqu'un a l'air chic et c'est généralement un terme positif. Tes vidéos sont toujours très utiles et instructives. Pour anglais Le Bobo c'est 'Champagne Socialist', merci la france pour la champagne. dormir c'est anglais pour bobo, example Baby goes bobos, bebe dormir... Pardon mon mal francais x

I’m laughing because in my native language “Bobos” is the plural to say” people who are not bright” we call them “Los bobos, las bobas, el bobo, la boba. Is really interesting to see what this word mean in French.

Thank you for this interesting chit chat about the bobos. We don’t have many of them in Norway. The rich people here tend to emigrate to other countries with lower tax and the long haired hippies are also gone. But we live in a rich country where we take good social care of each other and enjoy spending our many holidays swimming in the warm sea as tourists in many countries. So maybe most Norwegians are bobos whithout beeing aware of it

In America, at least in the west, we call them tragic hipsters. They are usually from Portland, OR. However, it's really nothing more than a stereotype. I buy organic food and free trade coffee. My husband and I make more money than most in our area. However, we prefer to dress more in a western style because of our horses and the lifestyle of horseback riding. We also wear outdoor technical clothing because we love to kayak, ski, hike, etc.
✔J'achète parfois de la nourriture bio avec le marque AB et le logo AB, ainsi que celle avec le label de commerce équitable. ✔Je porte parfois les vêtements de la maison Zadig et Voltaire. ❌Mais, Je ne suis pas riche. Donc, j'suis pas bobo. Il me semble c'est très différent de la culture pratique américaine ‘down to earth‘ et celle du mass marketing. Merci pour la leçon intéressent. Rodchester Siddhartha et Oso-Grande! Sont adorables et j'aime tres beaucoup. Ils ont avec moi pour toute de les vies... mon troupeau de chien !🐕🐕🐕🦮💕🥰🤣
Bobo, c'est un nouveau mot pour moi, mais il y a beaucoup de traits que je connais et qui sont une partie de ma vie, sauf l'argent et les vetements chics. I can't wait to use this new word with my millenial daughter who frequently criticizes people for being "bourgie"; maintenant je peux l'appeller bobo.
