Oh my God. I blind bought musk noir rose and return it the next day . I can’t stand Narsisco Rodriguez fragrances. And for Chanel daughter bought me Gabrielle Chanel, I’m keeping it for her and layer it with other fragrances but not a like. Thank you for sharing this😍
I agree with you I hated Narciso Rodriguez Musc Noir it's bad immediately returned it. Musc Noir Rose is still tolerable but not a like, and I blind bought pure musc 😢 straight up hate, bye bye Narciso

Totally. I love floral scents. Not everybody is going to like that. Personally, Chanel is like the brand I have never smelled anything I've liked by Her. And also, sometimes I think things smell different on different people or like I'll like the scent radiating off someone else, but on me. Nope. Also, I think personality comes into play. Like I feel like Chanel is Grace Kelly. I'm not a Grace Kelly. Know what I mean!
Definitely a personal thing and subjective!! The way different fragrances wear and transform on different peoples skin also plays a big factor. I know Donna Born in Roma is loved by so many, but I hate how it smells on me…I tried it a few times and not for me at all!
I am in love with most Hermés fragrances, but I guess it has A LOT to do with the climate you live in. Living in Brazil, we just cannot deal with very strong, gourmand, too-sweet-smelling fragrances, we must make do with the freshies, lol.

Girl Le labo's another 13 is like my new favorite, perfect clean scent for us in healthcare, Bal D'Afrique too from Byredo, and Creed's Millesime imperial. And i also absolutely love Creed wind flowers, so beautiful .... I completely agree about Fredrick Male, Chanel, Narciso and most Mancera. Their scents don't do it for me either, too heavy on the musk I feel, with the exception of instant crush, it's absolutely gorgeous to my nose. And no I am not at all offended, happy to actually know your thoughts on some of those.🥰

The only brand you spoke of that I have experience with is Montal and I agree. No matter which one I try I get a plastic scent. Something in the Montal DNA just does not go with my body chemistry.
It might not be your body chemistry, just the fact that its synthetic and feels repulsive on some subconcious level. At least thats my case, cant stand Montale at all

So agree le labo, byredo. Gypsy water is ok but nothing exciting. Creed no ugh. I’m not loving mancerra. I know unpopular to say. Their Sicily lemon one is okay, vanillas, holiday was a waste, now I was navitus siesta. Good video. Brave girl!

I agree with you about a LOT of these 🙂 I think a lot of these brands have what I think of as quite "classic" perfumery style (Chanel, Hermes, Frederic Malle) and I just don't like these either. I also am so bored by Narciso and his billion flankers (definitely giving Marc a run for his money). The only one I disagree on here is Byredo - I love Pulp, Sundazed and Flowerhead in particular.
I was so glad to wach this video, thank you. I definitely agree with Narciso Rodriguez. There is just something about their musc, which others seem to adore. On my skin, it is not even okay...when I test any NR, it literary stinks. I wish I could smell what other people can, but alas, it is not happening. As for Prada, nothing special either, maybe it is the iris note on my skin. I guess my skin chemistry is out of tune with these brands.

Hello Gabby, I wouldn't say I hate specific brands, it's more specific fragrance notes I find challenging. If the fragrance notes are in the over all DNA of the house, I may steer clear of a house or style of perfumery. That being said, I often can be pleasantly surprised when I do give fragrance houses a chance. Often the exclusive lines are much more interesting than the basic mainstream offerings when it comes to designer perfumes. Unfortunately they are usually double the price. 😅 I like a range of fragrance styles and strengths. Different things for different times, occasions, moods, weather, seasons and time of day. I like some of the vintage fragrance DNA, but I can also appreciate some of the more modern niche offerings. Thanks for sharing your opinion. I respect your honesty about your preferences. The only one I like from Narcisso is Pure Musc, it does not smell like the others. Not a fan os Musc Noir Rose either. I truly hate Chanel - as You mentioned, too “classy” for me, it just smells like old ladies.
I pretty much feel the same as you except I love Narciso Rodriguez. Byredo smells good, but I’m not paying that price for something that doesn’t last past two hours beyond a very faint skin scent.

Parfums de Marly - delina exclusif is nice and Safanad. But I find the rest to smell like synthetic, schreechy headache inducing dollar store bath bombs. Zoologist- most of them are nor wearable. Creed- overrated, boring, overpriced. The vast majority of designer fragrance brands like Viktor & Rolf, Ellie Saab, gucci, DKNY, Carolina Herera etc. It just does nothing for me.
I have to agree with you on Mancera. Although I do have the same problem with Montale. They all smell very synthetic and cheap on me. ESPECIALLY their rose scents.
Very fun to watch this video, Gabby, thank you for sharing! Totally agree about Marc Jacobs. I didn't even like the original Daisy, much less the billion flankers. There are certain perfumes from other houses I like. As a gourmand lover I like Ambre Narguile from Hermes, and also the more recent Jardin de la Lagune. Their fragrances are like watercolors, definitely not in your face or too powerful. From Byredo, I love the smell of Gypsy Water but never got a full bottle coz I thought it was too expensive for what you're getting. Then I found Colette from Tocca, which smells even more gorgeous, lasts longer, and costs a fraction of the price. Problem solved. ;)
I agree with you on all of them :-). I'd like to add Montale. I have only one from them (Chocolate Greedy), and it's the only one that doesn't smell chemical. I only bought it, because I just love chocolate. I don't think I'll ever have anything from Armani Privé. I just don't jive with any of the scents.
Oh my God, every single house that you mentioned I hate. With the exception of two perfumes so from Chanel I do like the Coco mademoiselle intense. It’s a pretty vanilla not wow but good. And from Creed women’s fragrance royal oud! Very beautiful fragrance for men. And you are so right and the new creed windflowers. It’s a big no!! Especially for the price. Great video young lady
We understand exactly what you mean. I hated Chanel 5 and I stayed away from the brand for years. I wasn’t even trying their new release until I got Mademoiselle eau de parfum as a gift. After that I broke the habit not to approach Chanel stands. And start trying all the releases. Until I found Chanel Chance eau tendre EDP. And I fell in love with it. I don’t like anything else from the brand.
I cannot stand the musk of Narciso either, and I always hate Chanel fragrance, it just smells so stuffy to me no matter what fragrance it is from them!

Agree. Hate is a strong word. Especially when speaking about some really big creations and master artists behind them. For me it feels like lacking respect, sorry but it’s true. I understand we are all different but choosing the words carefully is the key.
Spot on. (I'm okay with Narcisso Rodriguez at its price point, and love Coromandel from Chanel.) The other brands that I ignore are Maison Margiela and Tom Ford. The first, I've sampled some at Sephora but the longevity is poor. Some have a chemically sillage, to me. Tom Ford has some winning fragrances, but the price is crazy for what you get.
Personally I don’t care for Jimmy Choo, Carolina Herrera, Giorgio Armani (except Gioia line) and Valentino. They just don’t do anything to me and I find the brands tacky.

I don't like any Marc Jacobs or Chanel either. Chanel just doesn't make my scent profile, too dated and not sweet enough. I actually feel the same about many Dior too. Although I haven't tried Vanilla Diorama/Feve etc so maybe I am missing out on those...but so far haven't found one. It's funny how our noses do change over time 😊

I have a huge collection of more than 500 bottle and don't have any Narciso Rodriguez, Marc Jacobs or Chanel 😄,I do have couple of Hermes but one is a white floral and the other is an amber,so not really the style for you 😉 I also don't have any Gucci or Guerlain, and only 1 from Lancome (the boutique line) and 1 from Armani because most of them don't wow me.

Oh, we all have these. I have a few of my own that just don't vibe with me: Chanel, Montale, Mancera, Jean Paul Gaultier, Estee Lauder (just for perfume, I do love some of their make up), Dolce & Gabbana From Prada I only tried Paradox, and I don't like that one. Mancera and Montale are fragrances that smell similar around the brand. I sampled quite a few of them, and like you said, they all share a same strange undertone. Which makes them all very alike, and I don't like any of them.
There is a lot of high quality Mancera perfumes. Surprisingly not a lot of people talk about their «dupes» of other very popular perfumes but with much better projection.

You said ALL the single brands and houses I would mention too, minus Mancera, I do like Mancera and own Roses Vanille for example. :) I agree on all designers too, but I don't buy designers any more because I feel like a waste of money when i can get something else in niche more to my taste and unique. I only like 1 from JHAG , magnolia bliss, and 1 from mancera which is holidays lol it works well on my skin. I de cluttered velvet vanilla it got harsher the longer I had it, it’s a bit too strong. Prada la femme, essence of Iris, very chic, Hermes un jardin sur le nil, very distinctive. and complex....amazing holiday vibe........so now i know not to tune in as we have very differdnt taste most of my pyrchases and favourites recommended by Jus de Rose ( josephine) who has a perfume degree. love your accent though

The vast majority of designer fragrance brands like Viktor & Rolf, Ellie Saab, gucci, DKNY, Carolina Herera etc. It just does nothing for me.
I have to agree with you on Mancera. Although I do have the same problem with Montale. They all smell very synthetic and cheap on me. ESPECIALLY their rose scents.

Very fun to watch this video, Gabby, thank you for sharing! Totally agree about Marc Jacobs. I didn't even like the original Daisy, much less the billion flankers. There are certain perfumes from other houses I like. As a gourmand lover I like Ambre Narguile from Hermes, and also the more recent Jardin de la Lagune. Their fragrances are like watercolors, definitely not in your face or too powerful. From Byredo, I love the smell of Gypsy Water but never got a full bottle coz I thought it was too expensive for what you're getting. Then I found Colette from Tocca, which smells even more gorgeous, lasts longer, and costs a fraction of the price. Problem solved. ;)
I agree on Le Labo. I only found one as ok but they were way too woody for me.
I agree with you on all of them :-). I'd like to add Montale. I have only one from them (Chocolate Greedy), and it's the only one that doesn't smell chemical. I only bought it, because I just love chocolate. I don't think I'll ever have anything from Armani Privé. I just don't jive with any of the scents.
Oh my God, every single house that you mentioned I hate. With the exception of two perfumes so from Chanel I do like the Coco mademoiselle intense. It’s a pretty vanilla not wow but good. And from Creed women’s fragrance royal oud! Very beautiful fragrance for men. And you are so right and the new creed windflowers. It’s a big no!! Especially for the price. Great video young lady
We understand exactly what you mean. I hated Chanel 5 and I stayed away from the brand for years. I wasn’t even trying their new release until I got Mademoiselle eau de parfum as a gift. After that I broke the habit not to approach Chanel stands. And start trying all the releases. Until I found Chanel Chance eau tendre EDP. And I fell in love with it. I don’t like anything else from the brand.
Another 13 is one and only ‘clean girl ‘ scent 🔥 and people always sense it
I cannot stand the musk of Narciso either, and I always hate Chanel fragrance, it just smells so stuffy to me no matter what fragrance it is from them!

Haha and I love NR Musk Noir, it's like fresh laundry to me 😄 It's not my top 10 but still, a nice scent :) I agree about Chanel, Creed for women is also not my cup of tea. Le labo 33- I asked my husband not to wear it, because I smelled dill&cucumbers and I couldn't stand it 🤣
“Hate” is a strong word and as an influencer I would be cautious of that 🤷🏼♀️ p.s perfume tastes change two years ago I would never wear TF black orchid and now I love it never say never I guess
Agree. Hate is a strong word. Especially when speaking about some really big creations and master artists behind them. For me it feels like lacking respect, sorry but it’s true. I understand we are all different but choosing the words carefully is the key.
Spot on. (I'm okay with Narcisso Rodriguez at its price point, and love Coromandel from Chanel.) The other brands that I ignore are Maison Margiela and Tom Ford. The first, I've sampled some at Sephora but the longevity is poor. Some have a chemically sillage, to me. Tom Ford has some winning fragrances, but the price is crazy for what you get.
Personally I don’t care for Jimmy Choo, Carolina Herrera, Giorgio Armani (except Gioia line) and Valentino. They just don’t do anything to me and I find the brands tacky.

Thank God, I thought I was the only one. I though maybe I don't have a sophisticated nose. I do have Channel because it is nostalgic for me, it was my first grown up perfume when I was 15 :)
I don't like any Marc Jacobs or Chanel either. Chanel just doesn't make my scent profile, too dated and not sweet enough. I actually feel the same about many Dior too. Although I haven't tried Vanilla Diorama/Feve etc so maybe I am missing out on those...but so far haven't found one. It's funny how our noses do change over time 😊

You started off just like me! I have a huge collection of more than 500 bottle and don't have any Narciso Rodriguez, Marc Jacobs or Chanel 😄,I do have couple of Hermes but one is a white floral and the other is an amber,so not really the style for you 😉
I also don't have any Gucci or Guerlain, and only 1 from Lancome (the boutique line) and 1 from Armani because most of them don't wow me.

I agree with you for the most part, but I do really like Frederick Malle Musc Ravengeur…I was surprised by how much I liked the sample I got and I do also like Le Labo 33 and a few others from the brand, but I do think it’s overpriced! I agree with you 100% Gabi! I don’t care about all the brands you’ve mentioned. It might be because I don’t care about musk/‘clean skin but better’ sort of scents in general.
Oh, we all have these. I have a few of my own that just don't vibe with me:
Chanel, Montale, Mancera, Jean Paul Gaultier, Estee Lauder (just for perfume, I do love some of their make up), Dolce & Gabbana
From Prada I only tried Paradox, and I don't like that one.
Mancera and Montale are fragrances that smell similar around the brand. I sampled quite a few of them, and like you said, they all share a same strange undertone. Which makes them all very alike, and I don't like any of them.
There is a lot of high quality Mancera perfumes. Surprisingly not a lot of people talk about their «dupes» of other very popular perfumes but with much better projection.

You said ALL the single brands and houses I would mention too, minus Mancera, I do like Mancera and own Roses Vanille for example. :) I agree on all designers too, but I don't buy designers any more because I feel like a waste of money when i can get something else in niche more to my taste and unique. I only like 1 from JHAG , magnolia bliss, and 1 from mancera which is holidays lol it works well on my skin. I de cluttered velvet vanilla it got harsher the longer I had it, it’s a bit too strong. I agree with you on Marc jacobs perfumes I tried a lot and I only like Perfect, i don’t understand why people like daisy???? Yukkk lol as for Chanel I do like coco mademoisel but I don’t love it and I like chance eau vive, Gabrielle essence smells weird I just don’t get why it’s so popular??
i love all the narcisso except musc rose...the one you like a little. Chanel no 19...no 5 l'eau, Gabrielle, fab. Prada la femme, essence of Iris, very chic, Hermes un jardin sur le nil, very distinctive. and complex....amazing holiday vibe........so now i know not to tune in as we have very differdnt taste most of my pyrchases and favourites recommended by Jus de Rose ( josephine) who has a perfume degree. love your accent though

Hello Gabby! I love F. Malle and Chanel, but I agree with the rest. I have only Pulp Byredo, the only fragrance from this brand I love. I hate Memo and Escentric Molecules ( I have an allergy to my skin after the last one).
