Low key this generation Suburban is the best Suburban ever made. Its the most comfortable, becaus the seats got worse after this generation. Its the most reliable(mine has almost 400k miles and still going), parts are cheap.(replacement engine brand new long block is $1700, shop charge $700 to swap the engine and you good for another million miles) the feds still use this generation because they are so dependable. Crazy part is they are really inexpensive to buy currently and will outlast the new ones with their AFM/DOD issues. This generation is really a truck. The newest ones are no longer on truck platform and not as robust. These do have the LS based engine. Fuel economy is on par with the new ones as well.

@@SavageLifegamingthey are clean, however they are no longer truck platform. The 2500 version is still truck platform. But those only go to military, government and secret service now. 2500 Suburbans used to be sold to the citizens but many bought the regular 1500 version because they didnt need the extra capability of the stronger version. Companies are swapping in Duramax diesels in them calling them "Duraburb"s
