    The bottom turn is a linking manoeuvre that sets up the rest of the wave down the line. Having a good bottom is the foundation to good SUP surfing, but the backhand bottom turn is harder to perform than riding frontside as your back is toward the wave and your vision is limited.
    In this video, we break down the bottom turn and the important aspects of making sure you are committed and in control so you don’t slide out or bounce around.

      The principles can be applied to goofy footers as well. I sometimes watch in a mirror or download and flip the video to see the opposite. But you're right, we need more goofys! Thanks, Beau
