i live here, pretty much you can see everything that is interesting here in 2 weeks. most of people wants to emigrate because of the bad pay. the population numbers keeps dropping, pays are around 500euro/month. Don't really think you'd like here ;)
It's fun that people even from US are interested in Lithuania. Even though it isn't a big countury it still has a lot of interesting things to see and hear. You should try to come to Lithuania at least one time in your life, you won't gona be disapointed😊

Although I appreciate you trying to inform people about my country, but you could have easily checked the dates and facts on Wikipedia. Can`t have everything, I guess

Hey. What a nice video about my country! Thank you! Although I would like to correct few facts. 1009 it was the first time when Lithuania’s name as a country was mentioned, like I mean written, but that has nothing to do with independence since just in 13 century our country became a country, united. Before that it was just lands. With Poland we become a union way later, formally in 1569. And then at 1795 our union with Poland was over, because other countries ( Russia, Prussia, Austria-Hungary) invaded us, in here Lithuanias part was under Russia’s control. And after World War One we managed to gain independence ( since Russia was so Busy with war and coping with all the failure so we kinda used that chance haha).
Akvile Radauskaite ...but we didn't stay independent for very long. During the World War 2 we were incorporated into the Soviet Union and remained there until 1991.
So basically Indians came to Lithuania, we got their language. Then because we were pagans (the last pagan nation in Europe by the way) and Christians were afraid of us so we didn't adopt the languages of neighbouring nations and stayed with that old Indian thing. Then the Polish came and we lived with them for many years and language nearly died and was treated like language for the poor, then Tsar Russia came and banned Lithuanian literature and schools. So it was quite tough for the language and the nation. Then Lithuanian language became a thing and people started respecting and using it. Then we declared Independence from Russia after WW1, then 23 years of independence, then Germans came, then Russians again. They once again banned Lithuanian literature (except for propaganda) but peole somehow didn't forget Lithuanian and then independence in 1990-1991 again.... So basically: we learnt an old language, no one wanted to change it, then we didn't one to change it. So it stayed like it was 2000 years ago

Hey. What a nice video about my country! Thank you! Although I would like to correct few facts. 1009 it was the first time when Lithuania’s name as a country was mentioned, like I mean written, but that has nothing to do with independence since just in 13 century our country became a country, united. Before that it was just lands. With Poland we become a union way later, formally in 1569. And then at 1795 our union with Poland was over, because other countries ( Russia, Prussia, Austria-Hungary) invaded us, in here Lithuanias part was under Russia’s control. And after World War One we managed to gain independence ( since Russia was so Busy with war and coping with all the failure so we kinda used that chance haha).
Akvile Radauskaite ...but we didn't stay independent for very long. During the World War 2 we were incorporated into the Soviet Union and remained there until 1991.

Please make a topic video on relation between Sanskrit and Lithuanian language.
So basically Indians came to Lithuania, we got their language. Then because we were pagans (the last pagan nation in Europe by the way) and Christians were afraid of us so we didn't adopt the languages of neighbouring nations and stayed with that old Indian thing. Then the Polish came and we lived with them for many years and language nearly died and was treated like language for the poor, then Tsar Russia came and banned Lithuanian literature and schools. So it was quite tough for the language and the nation. Then Lithuanian language became a thing and people started respecting and using it. Then we declared Independence from Russia after WW1, then 23 years of independence, then Germans came, then Russians again. They once again banned Lithuanian literature (except for propaganda) but peole somehow didn't forget Lithuanian and then independence in 1990-1991 again....
So basically: we learnt an old language, no one wanted to change it, then we didn't one to change it. So it stayed like it was 2000 years ago
