    Hey Charles,
I am from Germany. My brother is in a band and the bassist left the band a while ago because he had to move in a far away city due to a new job. My brother asked me several times if I want to join them, but I have no bass yet. I can play the guitar, so the learning process should be a bit quicker I guess.
You are a huge inspiration for every musican I know in person regardless wich instrument they are playing.
Keep up the great work Charles :)

So, I had a friend share your video the other day with you playing Californication. I was blown away by it. Your abilities are off the charts and your mind for it too, it just brought me back to when I played bass. I always wanted to play and for my 13th birthday my mother took me to a pawn shop to buy a bass. A four string sunset casino, I loved it. The feel, the sounds, and the joy I got playing it. Well, many years later, I'm 28, and I haven't played a bass in years on years. Watching the Billboarr Music Awards with my girlfriend off recording and here comes Duran Duran to play, for whatever reason they made me want to play bass, just the groves in their music always hit me, and it was the bass, I had to play. Well I told my girlfriend that story and this was already after I saw your amazing video and many more when I went down the rabbit hole. Now all I keep coming back to is what are the chances? I see your video, your giving away a bass, and then later on I'm watching my TV and the band that inspired me to ever pick up a bass in the first place is on, it's crazy to me. But, I finally got the courage to just write it all out, because it just doesn't happen like that always.
Thank you for reading and thank you for the consideration.

I played guitar in the mid 70’s. Richard Mason was my tutor.
Then life happened. I gave it up to follow a career in engineering
I always had it in my mind to retire one day and play again
Then in 2003 i had a mv accident that basically left me a quad
Took me 14 months to recover
Sequestrated and divorced i carried on and submerged myself in expat lonely lifestyle to survive
My 10 year sequestration went from 2005-2015 so never really had time to build up a retirement kitty proper
Now in my 60’s i would really really like to play even tho my legs are wooden from the knees down and my hands and fingers do not have too much feeling
I can just say i truly enjoy your playing and watch yourself, Marcin and Luca
    You guys inspire me
I have the regret of never continuing something i always loved : playing the guitar
So i can tell all of you reading this, take EVERY OPPORTUNITY to follow your dreams and make them happen.
You never know when your life is going to change in the blink of an eye and you may have regrets
    Take care
    Keep on keeping on
    Heads up
    Eyes open
    No fear
All the way from South Africa

Well, I thought about trying to get this bass but my bass stands right next to me and it is a pretty good beginner bass with even more frets than the bass you could win here. So for me there is actually no real point in taking part in this lottery. Especially now that i have heard this story, I would not appreciate getting this bass myself as much as knowing, that someone like C C got it. So if my opinion even matters and if it is possible, i would vote for this guy to get the bass instead of taking part myself. If not, I still wish you all the best and good luck from Germany.
I am sorry for the bad English.

    Hi I'm from Germany!
The bass lines always were what I liked the most about many songs.. Theres so much variety to it and it sounds so cool or funky. I've recently (maybe due to covid) really gotten into watching countless CZcams videos of people playing it...and I really want to learn it myself.. It would be a way to escape the stress from studying for exams and experience music on another level than just trough my headphones.

I've played music for most of my life starting with the piano when I was about 4 years old and moving on to percussion all through middle school and high school and picking up guitar along the way. In college I studied engineering and every semester that I took a music for non-majors class I aced all of my engineering coursework. For me, learning and playing music seems to be something that helps me to be my best self. Unfortunately, once I started my professional career, got married, had kids... music has really just fallen by the wayside. Finding your channel has inspired me to pick up music once again and I think this time I'd like to try bass and really strive to learn and practice but also to enjoy the journey of learning and playing music once again because when I'm playing and learning music, I think it helps me to be a better father, husband, and employee. Cheers!

Really enjoyed the video. Definitely wanted more of La Villa Stragiato! When will we see part 2? By the way, you’ve also clearly shown that as long as there are not obvious/significant defects with the instrument and it’s setup sufficiently, it’s not the bass, it’s the player.

I live in the USA and I’ve been looking at getting a bass guitar. My brother essentially taught himself to ply the guitar and he’s really trying to learn to write his own songs. He’s been a huge inspector for me to get into playing music and also played a heavy influence on my taste of music. With him playing the guitar I wanted to be different. The bass guitar plays a huge yet hidden role in music and I love the sound. Due to life and how it can throw you a curveball sometimes, my budget has gotten tight. I love watching your channel and watching you play. Your sounds is amazing And I’d be honored to get one of your bass guitars to learn to play. Id never get rid of it and it’d always be a prized possession.

Reason: I never thought I could love bass the way I do now because of the way you play it. I first started from watching Davie504 videos, and I was amazed at how nice the bass can be until I met you. You just blew my mind and the passion to slap/tap the bass has been unrelenting since August 2020. I have watched all your videos till date through a third party app because CZcams is expensive to use in this part of my country. Even If you might not read this. I don't regret sending it. You inspired me in your 'I almost quit video's talking about how you practice 8 hours a day, not even knowing the outcome. Same with me.. I play the acoustic guitar... I have so much passion for acoustic and bass and I have sacrificed so much not caring what the outcome would be. The Joy is in the playing.. Lol. You inspire a lot of us. Keep going 👍

Reason: I've never liked stringed instruments in my life, and though I was fine with typical stringed instruments in a symphony orchestra like violin, cello, etc., I was never into the sound of guitar/bass at all. After watching Davie's video where you were introduced to me, I was at first intrigued by the sheer skill with all the techniques despite my lack of knowledge regarding bass. After I started following your videos, I realized that bass can be an awesome instrument that sounds beautiful, which also helped me to appreciate guitars more (I have added composers' guitar sonatas to my classical playlist since). Though I'm mainly a classical listener, I got to know of awesome bassists like Victor Wooten and Michael Manring through you. I play piano, but bass is definitely something I would now love to get into, though I'm not sure how good I can get when I'm already 20 years old :/. Why: I have always seen music like the highest form of art, with every instrument able to access millions of colors that we can use to paint a picture. For most of my life I have been unable to afford any sort of musical instrument, and only recently was I able to get my first piano which has brought me the greatest joy of my life. I hope I can learn bass as the critical rhythmic accompaniment to the piano and music in general, but also I hope to learn how to play melodically: gliding, slapping, and tapping my fingers effortlessly across the fretboard as you do. It looks profoundly fun to rip out solos along those wide strings, I actually find myself more attracted to bass guitar than regular guitar. Thanks for spreading the joy of bass to the world man :)
