    Björn and Benny are musical perfectionists, they don't leave anything half done. So many think ABBAs music is simple and shallow when in fact it's very intricate and complex, which is why it's so pleasing for the ear and the mind.
    This comeback is insanely clever and it's moving is into forward-thinking rather than being stuck in the past.

    Abba have record sales of over 400 million! They are not like the bands of today where they had a dance routine for every song. During ballads they let the emotion come through with their vocals and faces. In upbeat songs they had a bit more movement on stage. The fact that the band have come back after 40 years and not only recorded new music, they have acted out an entire show for next year with motion capture so that it is actually them performing not just some badly put together CGI.

    • @TylerCreatesContent
      @TylerCreatesContent  Před 3 lety +1

      i wouldn't say that it's badly put together, and that's not really what i meant (especially considering i didn't know it was CGI at the time) but i would've just said that the performance aspect itself could've been slightly improved in that they could've just looked slightly more into the music; that's moreso what i meant, not necessarily having a dance routine.

Girl power indeed !!! Benny Andersson is also a genius and up there musically.

    Ann-Frid (Frida), who sang lead on this is 75 years old today with her 76th birthday coming up in November. Agnetha (blond) is 71 years old today.
    The Avitars are courtesy of ILM Performance Capture process as used in the movie; Avitar. The band members did do their own singing AND stage performances here. They just show up as a younger version of themselves, but it is really them! Vocals are still very, very strong!

    It's interesting to see a younger generation to react to ABBA's return. Hopefully, you will research the idea of their concert concept and how it will transform the industry. Music needs to return back to its roots of instrumental playing and not so much electronic which is man-made.

    • @TylerCreatesContent
      @TylerCreatesContent  Před 3 lety

      genuinely this concept will transform the industry; i think it will potentially bring some artists or groups that feel like they're too old to perform or create music back again! though, i could also see this concert form as one that others see as "less authentic" for the same reason you mentioned about electronic music. EDIT: i also do want to say that there is some genuinely beautiful music that's been made with electronic synthesizers and such; i do think it has it's merits but i also understand what you mean as well! a lot of people lean on it a lot instead of using real sounds.

They actually built a very special and unique technological concert stadium for this in London, England just for this new technology. They’re about to do a concert in a way that has NEVER been done before, and in the process make music concert history!!

  • @bachatamusica
    @bachatamusica Před 3 lety +6

    Before they recorded their first record together in 1970 "Hej Gamle Man" , they were all well-known in Sweden.
    Benny was in a band (The Hep Stars), and Björn was also in a band (The Hootenanny Singers), Anni-Frid did clubs with a jazz band and sang the typical Scandinavian "schlager" music. And Agnetha Fältskog, at age 18, had Nº 1 hits on the Swedish "Svenskitoppen" charts.
    That's why ABBA is referred to as a "Supergroup", because they were all established artists in their country, and decided to form a group.

    The context is about their marriages. The band was effectively two couples. They got married and divorced pretty much while ABBA was smashing it in the 70s and early 80s. This is a song about how they are all now cool with each other after soo many years. It resonates because it has soo many different meanings to different people, our former lovers/wives the people we were close to that we lost, and of course, it's the perfect pandemic song. The world is hurting and ABBA came back to heal us. You don't need to be a big ABBA fan to get this song, it appeals to people young and old and will be the smash hit of this year no doubt. 12m plus views on youtube in five days is a testament to that. You also need to understand they are now in their 70s. They all went into seclusion after they split, the avatars were their own idea and you have to respect that. This is how music is going.

    I decided to rewatch your reaction to this song. TCC hit the nail on the head at the start when he said let's hope we still have faith in them by the time we've listened. It is autobiographical, and it's about the band saying 'do we have it in us' to perform, create new music and release it. They believe it is in the there.
    "We do have it in us
    New spirit has arrived
    The joy and the sorrow
    We have a story and it survived...
    We stand on a summit
    Humble and grateful to have survived
    I think this is a song that one appreciates with age. The 'concert' at the end is completely made up. It's all CGI - these were the Abbatars.

    They're 76 years old FFS, they're better than any modern music, the last bit they're avatars, the background is taken from concert footage, you need to research a bit before then you won't put your foot in your mouth. Remember they have appeared in front of many, many millions, they don't need to look at their act. I can think of no other band I have ever known that could achieve what they have, and then come back. They don't need the money, they did it to revive music, your lady said it, real instruments, orchestration, production, melody, chorus, lyrics, real voices (none of that auto tuned crap)> I give you a challenge, post me ONE modern act that comes anywhere near. You youngsters have your music, and that's fine, we had our music, and ABBA was mine, I grew to adulthood with them, I can think of no bad song they did, and when you sell 400m records you have to be doing something right. Just to put things in context, two days after release ABBA were No 1 and No 2 in the itunes download chart (UK)

    first of all, they are old enough to be your grand parents. second the end of the video is all motion capture of them as they looked in 1979.

    All very nice you reacting. Have you actually put your hand in your pocket and bought/downloaded the track? Your next video should be proof. ABBA fans are sick of these fake reactions. You know nothing of their history.

    Wow you guys actually didn’t know you were viewing avatars digital versions of abba on stage in this video?
    They are on their mid seventies the band and this is groundbreaking new technology used to recreate them for their london shows
    I loved all your other abba reactions obviously the young lady is not impressed with this one lol

    Thank you for sharing your first reaction, beautiful!🌷🌷🌷🌷
    Please do a first reaction of their second song too, "Don't shut me down"❤
    Also watch "Last video" from 2014, it's sweet and funny, you will not regret it😉

    At least ABBA is still ABBA, not 'come and go' people joining and leaving a label called ABBA.
