- Launched at the 2019 Japan Fishing Show in Yokohama, Japan. The new Vanquish is lighter than its predecessor without sacrificing reel rigidity and durability. With a new Long Stroke Spool, casting distance is increased by 4%.

@@rickyvadepesca On shimano official website it is written that the body of 17' sustein is made of metal, but its half-truth, because juast side plate made of metal and another part of body is made of xt-7 plastic.

With stradic fl 2019 shimano attacked their high end reels with it , thank for that shimano ,got stradic fl n it's good enough with micromodule2, long stroke , xprotect ....Etc .

The next Shimano Stella must lighter than the FJ-Modell from 2018....
I'll probably bite my own words if they do release a lighter model, but I doubt it. Stella's are supposed to be "tanks". Look at Shimano's baitcasters, the Antares is their top of the line and takes the same principal, that's why it still has an aluminum body. Same with the 2019 Antares model, they didn't give that Antares the MGL treatment either. That mindset is the same with the Stella's, that's why they don't have MGL bodies.

Guys do yourself a favour and just buy at 19 Certate. Shimano is wayyyyyy behind Daiwa now
Certate is an insane reel.. but can you afford the maintenance? Daiwa is one step ahead in my opinion, but if you have a trouble with your reel be preppared to pay high fees for it.. its very epensive in my opinion.. Shimano has far better costummer support
