      Microwaving metal is not as bad as everyone thinks. Still don't do it. The more sharp points the worse it is.

      This one kid Not true. It will spark if there is a small enough distance between any metal points. If you just put a plate with gold leaf on it, it will spark.

      Oobleck its just corn starch and water so all the experiment that you said will either evaporate the water and you will be left with the corn starch or if you boil it, it will just mix with the boiling water.. and yea no more Oobleck

      Yeah, I was thinking of a silicone seal too. It's supposedly stable up to somewhere around the melting point of lead, hotter than an oven will get unless you're running it on self clean.
      In fact, on some ovens, the sealing gasket around the door (to keep the heat in when it's closed!) is made of silicone.

      Actually, it probably has been done before, somewhere in ancient history.
      if you can get an earthen pot/oven hot enough, put the dough inside, and then seal the lid off and turn off the heat, this is very much possible.

      I also think they should freeze dry black coffee to make concentrated instant coffee powder instead of the latte they once did. Freeze drying should contain the flavor.

    It strikes me as funny that you are so amazed by the roll being cooked on the bottom. The jar is glass. The vacuumed air may not transfer heat well but the glass will heat up. That very result is why so many people love cooking with glass pans. So the bottom makes sense but I am still shocked that it cooked so uniformly. I love these experiments. Thanks for your content!

    I have a theory
    when you put it in it starts out heating it through conduction(through glass) steam expanded which allowed it to then heat via convection giving you a nice evenly crisp outside

    Can you mix dough in a pressure chamber (2-4 bar) and will it be fluffier when coocked outside (under atmospgheric pressure).

    Can you test how much ink is actually in a highlighter? Also if you heat up or cool down a highlighter or the highlighter ink will it become more or less bright? Or does anything else happen? I’m super curious.

    When the seal breached on the jar, you didn't have a vacuum anymore - but you did have a perfect steam chamber, which is how you want to cook bread for a crispy crust. I do that with my sourdoughs and a pan of water.
