Ortal Levitan sure thing!
Great in depth info. :) I use your video as example for my friends who didn't understand difference.
Very well explained. Headshot photo is actually good to use for profile picture and resume.
Seah Altura yes, for something like LinkedIn, a tight headshot is a must.
Never thought of it that way! thanks for sharing your expertise!
My pleasure!
Great info, thank you for that!
Glad it was helpful!
I guess you could say that head shots are more functional and portraits more personal and artistic? I never realized there was a difference until now.
Tiidii Living with Sabrina yes, great way to put it!
Great video - I picked up a Canon m50 and hope to see more information from your channel on how to use it properly! I met you through Sunny and you def have a new subscriber!
Awesome, thank you! I'm working on a list of some more camera related video topics. Stay tuned!
Seems like it is the same but now i get the difference.
How will you change up your images now that you know the differences?
I have always wanted to ask an experienced photographer why headshots are most frequently now the head is cut off. I understand the rule of thirds and that the idea is to get the eyes as the main focus however I think it looks odd when the top of the head is cut off. I suppose if you do a headshot for a corporate website you would want the whole head and I guess cutting off the head is a bit of an artistic choice but I still can't get used to it and think it looks strange.
Yes, I don’t crop as tight as I used to. It’s just not very functional for most use cases.
@@scottlawrencephoto been playing with both and I am warming to the closer crop.
Great videos really appreciate it !
The guide that you give was that a template that I would be able to purchase and use I really like how you have that laid out?
Thanks John, It's not currently setup as a template, but I can look into that. Drop me an email at scott@scottlawrencephoto.com in the meantime. Maybe we can work something out.
