Apple Compressor vs Handbrake: Why does Apple do such a bad job?

  • Guys, why does Apple Compressor export look so bad at lower bitrates? Notice the "jumping" of the picture each second. I have been working with FCPX an Compressor for years now, and this effect is always there. Am I doing something wrong? Advice is appreciated, thanks!

    might have tried this already, but change encoder to higher quality instead of faster.

      Thanks. That makes little difference, exvept for render times, unfortunately.

      @@PalmaVDO okay and how do you send to compressor? Do you send from final cut which is really a bad option, or do you export to a high quality quicktime file first and then use compressor which does yield better results.?
