- Bloody Butcher Corn is quite expensive -- around $22 a pound! We hear it makes a great corn meal, so we planted a plot in our larger Hoss Vegetable Garden.

Harvesting my Bloody Butcher field corn and there appears to be a white mold on about an inch of mold on the outer tip of some of the ears. What to do with it? I plan to hand shell the molded part off and then run the rest through a sheller. Going to use it for corn meal and seed.
That is a new one to me, let your county agent take a look at it.

Will this variety grow in southern Arizona, low desert?
yes you should, it takes 110 day for full maturity
Not a plug, but SESE has it for about half that price. Thsi is where I purchased my Hickory Cane Seed from last year.
