It's normal. A lot of animals have voices, it's great! If other apes wouldn't had their brain usually unable to control voice cords fully => they would be able to develop speech too. But they were unlucky so we can only teach them gesture languages and lexigrams. Still amazing to be able to communicate!!! Also, read about Kanji, a bonobo who answered that he is human because he has ability to communicate via lexigrams. It's mind blowing!!
