I don't know why but I cry every time I watch this video. Maybe because it shows us a life of an introvert office worker Taylor who is bullied, others gossip about her and just when we think nothing special will happen, there is the scene of her reunion with her lover, who managed to come back from war. And this quick moment for me is so powerful. This video shows us that we see only a small piece of others lives. Just because they seem to be boring, lonely or strange, doesn't mean that they are not a ray of light in lives of others. Respect each other, love each other, help each other. This is the only thing that matters...

Lots of Taylor’s songs at that point were about longing and about the excitement of a new love or fascination with someone, or of love lost, but this is a song about love achieved, about reassurance in love. This was one of my favorites of her songs back then, and I’m so happy it has new life 13 years later!

I must say these simple uncomplicated classic music videos- taylor always nailed that. The acting, the outfits, the storylines etc. it fits the lyrics so well
My partner is Indian and has parents who don't approve of me (I am caucasian and therefore not from his caste or any). He will one day have to have an arranged marriage and he fights it every day. I used to love this song so much. I was four when it came out, and, at the time, I would listen to music to fall asleep. Whenever I heard this song on the radio, I would jump out of bed, run down stairs, and get my mom to come and dance with me. I did that for a while, but eventually, they stopped playing it on the radio, and I got older and didn't listen to it to go to sleep anymore. I forgot all about this song, and I couldn't even remember the name of it. I was scrolling through CZcams today, and I get a bunch of her songs "recommended for me" because I listen to her songs all the time. Today I decided to actually listen to some of them and when I clicked on this one, I could still remember all of the words, 10 years later. I know this a really old song and nobody is going to be reading this but I wanted to say how much I love this song and that it is always going to have a place in my heart.
